As a Twins fan thank goodness that they won in the metrodome. I might legitimately cry if I saw it on this list. The baggy, the hockey glass, the terrible teflon roof. So much unique character in such a weird stadium.

A few you left out: Miami Arena. The Heat never won a championship in their original home. Orlando Arena. The Magic have never won it all, including their entire stay in their original home. Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix. The building is still standing but not used for much these days, and the Suns made it to the finals while playing there but didn't hoist the trophy. HemisFair Arena in San Antonio. The Spurs didn't win their first title until their days in the Alamodome and won four more at the AT&T Center. San Diego Sports Arena. Again, still standing but now only used for minor league hockey. Neither the NBA Rockets nor Clippers, nor the ABA Conquistadors won any titles while playing there. Kezar Stadium in San Francisco. The 49ers were one of the worst teams in the NFL during their playing days there.

The Kingdome is so sad that it can’t even make it on a list of being sad.

Baker Bowl was actually standing past 1938, (with it being used as a race track in its later life), but by 1950, it was demolished.

The Silverdome had Wreslemania 3 which drew the largest indoor attendance record(at that time) which was 93,173 in 1987. I wish it would have been used more often than it was though. Sad to see it go.

I actually had to look up the history of the Kingdome to realize that the Seattle Supersonics were playing their home games there when they won their only NBA Championship. I'd thought that they'd moved into the Kingdome the year after they won the 'chip, not the year before. What I do remember for sure was that CBS would not broadcast the NBA Finals games live unless they were on a weekend, even in the local markets. We had to wait until 11:30pm that night to watch what we'd already heard on the radio hours before. Just shows you how things were for the NBA in the time period between the end of the Russell-era Celtics dynasty and the arrival of Darth Stern, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson.

The Charlotte Coliseum for the Hornets need to be on that list, Salt Palace in Salt Lake City for the Jazz, Sun Devil Stadium for the Cardinals, Turner Field for the Braves, Bradley Center for the Bucks, Richfield Coliseum for the Cavaliers, Market Square Arena for the Pacers, Winnipeg Arena for the Jets prior to moving to Arizona I know there's more but I just have to look

In 1982 The Michigan Panthers of the USFL played in the Silver Dome and won the championship. It also hosted a semifinal playoff game.

(Many kids in major junior ice hockey usually end up in the nhl). But now all the major tenants are pretty much gone and I heard that the scoreboard doesn't even work properly. One of the reasons the Oilers abandoned the Astrodome was because the stadium could not host a Super Bowl. Houston got rid of its cursed and choking team for a new stadium that has hosted 2 of the best Super Bowls in recent memory (XXXVIII and LI (28-3)), a Janet Jackson "wardrobe malfunction," and a team great at winning nothing but division titles.The Oilers franchise is still cursed and choking just a wee bit short (1 yard to be exact).

Baker Bowl (its official name was National League Park; Baker didn't buy the team until 1913) was abandoned by the Phillies in 1938 and not demolished until 1950. Twelve died and over 200 were injured in the disaster of 1903. The top of the bleachers overhung the sidewalk and gave way, sending the victims 30 feet to the pavement.

About the arena the Nordiques played in, they technically did win a championship there. During the 1976-77 World Hockey Association (WHA) final, they defeated the Winnipeg Jets in seven games to win the Avco World Trophy.

I feel like you could have added in the Met Stadium I, feel like it should have earned a spot for the Minnesota Vikings who lost 4 superbowls while playing there. It was ultimately replaced with the Metrodome when the Twins won 2 World series.

The St. Louis Arena (aka Checkerdome) was omitted. The Blues played there for 26 seasons without winning the Cup. The Hawks played at Kiel Auditorium when the won their only NBA Championship in 1958.

There' was also the Richfield Coliseum, roughly 30 miles from downtown Cleveland. Host of the Cavaliers plus multiple indoor soccer, arena football and minor league hockey. Besides the Indians in 1948, the Cleveland Browns won the 1964 NFL Championship at Cleveland Municipal Stadium. The Expos never won in Olympic Stadium in Montreal.

Pacific Coliseum, you literary showed the photo of the rink when the Vancouver Giants won the 2007 Memorial Cup in the arena, and in 2006 they won the WHL Championship against Moose Jaw all well it was their home arena. Not to mention both two more WHL Championships with the Canucks, and two RHI Championships with the Voodoo.

Tampa Stadium did have a Soccer Championship: The Rowdies played ten seasons at Tampa Stadium and won their only Soccer Bowl championship in their 1975 inaugural season, defeating the Portland Timbers 2-0 on August 24. The Rowdies also finished as runners-up in 1978 and 1979.

Globe Life Park is not being used by MLS. It's being used by the United Soccer League Division 1. It's home to North Texas SC, the farm team for FC Dallas. It's also being used by a rugby team, and was used by the XFL's Dallas Renegades. The Tampa Bay Rowdies won the 1975 NASL Soccer Bowl, so they did raise a title for Tampa Stadium. And yes, we do miss Tony.

I do have to correct you just slightly on the Omni inclusion. The Atlanta Knights of the International Hockey League won it all back in 1994. IHL was a minor league on the same level as the AHL so kind of an asterisk more than an outright dismissal from the list.

Technically speaking, the PNE in Vancouver saw two championships. The Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League won both a league title and Memorial Cup, the Cup being played in the PNE.

As a Tigers fan not going lie that Comerica Park isn’t going feel like home unless they win a World Series, the previous home Tiger Stadium was home to 4 World Series titles and 3 NFL Titles (not Super Bowls) by the Lions. Now I do think the Georgia Dome being around only 26 seasons and having 2 NFC champions there including final game winning the NFC Championship, along with hosting 2 Super Bowls won and played by other teams. Also the Pontiac Silverdome which was open from 1975-2001, was home to the Pistons 1988 Eastern Conference Champions, hosted Super Bowl 16, World Cup in 1994 and the Lions only playoff win since 1957 so I’m sentimental towards the place.

The Nordiques won the Avco Cup, (WHA title,) in 1977 and the Aces and Remparts won the Memorial Cup as amateur hockey's best team several times between the late 40s and early 70s. (The house the Beleveau built.) The latter titles were the Canadian equivalent to winning NCAA men's basketball D1A titles or BCS titles in football.

You can add Montréal, where the Expos never won a pennant or World Series at Jarry Stadium, now a tennis stadium and the National training complex for Canadian tennis. Secondly, just one division title at the Olympic Stadium, which is still standing but essentially abandoned. The MLS MTL Impact built a smaller stadium in it's shadow and the CFL Alouettes play at the McGill University Stadium. Perhaps we will have to bid for another Summer Olympic Games? At least the old Montreal Forum, demolished in 1996, was witness to 24 Canadiens Stanley Cups. 2nd most after the NY Yankees with 25 championships.

Love that you mentioned that glorious 48 world series, but you forgot that the Browns won 8 championships in that stadium, appearing in a record 10 straight championships. So that's one world series, 8 nfl championships, and the pennant in the movie Major League.

The Georgia Dome was also the home of the SEC Championship Game and on several occasions, the SEC Basketball Tournament.

Philadelphia's JFK Stadium (razed in 1992) should also be on the list as the Philadelphia Eagles played there from 1936 to 1939 (they also played at the Baker Bowl from 1933 to 1935), before playing, except for the 1941 NFL Season, at Shibe Park/Connie Mack Stadium (where they won the 1948 and 1949 NFL Championships). Except for the years at the Vet (1971-2002), in which the "Birds" got to Super Bowl XV, all of the Eagles' subsequent homes (Shibe Park/Connie Mack Stadium, Franklin Field, and Lincoln Financial Field) has seen the team win either the old NFL Championship (1948, 1949, 1960) or the Super Bowl (Super Bowl LII). Thankfully the Vet didn't make the list due to the Phillies winning their first World Series there in 1980.

It’s crazy to think that had it not been for the New England Patriots winning Super Bowl XXXVI against the St. Louis Rams, Foxboro Stadium (originally Schaefer Stadium and later renamed Sullivan Stadium before changing again to Foxboro Stadium), which was built in 1971 and was home to the New England Patriots until the end of the 2001-02 NFL Season, would’ve made it on the list as a testament to the Patriots pre-Tom Brady failures.

Colisee saw championships from the Junior Hockey Quebec Ramparts (Memorial cup 1971 and 2006). The Quebec Aces of the AHL were Allan Cup champions in 1944. In 1956/57 The Aces won the Edinburgh Trophy versus the Brandon Regals. The Quebec Caribous won the National Lacrosse League championship in 1975 with the final game being played there. And the biggest win of all in front of a capacity crowd the Quebec Nordiques won the 1977 AVCO CUP as World Hockey Association champions. BTW THE Pepsi Colisee STILL STANDS AS OF 2020.
