Fix the Black screen issue for any Samsung Galaxy or other Android device with removable or Non-removable battery. So if your display is black or blank and you can hear texts and phone calls but nothing on screen with notification LED flashing and capacitive buttons lighting up this is the fix for you. Also display may become unresponsive with this issue. This fix can work for Galaxy S1,S2,S3,S4,S5,S6,S7 and newer devices,Note 1,Note 2,Note 3,Note 4,Note 5,Note 7 and newer phones, including Edge and plus versions in the Note and S line. Also be aware that while this happens to Samsung devices allot that this can also work in devices outside the S line as long as its a Samsung and other devices like LG, HTC and so on that run Android.

Yes sir, much love. On me backup phone, camera would work, screen would turn on for it BUT.....black screen for everything else. Phone wouldn't even turn off. Your trick of holding the power button and volume down forced the blasted phone to reset, and looking good once again. Thanks bruh!

HELP HELP My phone had this problem a few weeks ago and i did this and it worked. During those weeks i had to do it every few days because sometimes when the phone died it happened again! But now i do the battery thing and it doesn't work :( i cant access my phone at all. I tried to do it and then use my old battery and it still didn't work, so the issue is on the phone. Thank you!!! So much turning off the power & then back on solved the problem. I only have this problem with KZfaq so I wonder if it’s a glitch in my iPhone 9 x??? But it’s happening with all phones apparently. People don’t give up hope! Follow this generous mans instructions & , sometimes over & over it will eventually work for you too! THANK YOU so very much, Mr. Gardener for this video!! I had no idea what was wrong with my phone and thought my Mophie case (rechargeable case for the Galaxy S6) was broken. I went into my settings for my battery and took the extreme power saving mode off. Hopefully that was the problem. This has taught me a very valuable lessons.. I will be writing everyone's phone numbers on an index card and promptly removing my photos.

Ricardo, you know I have fiddled around with button pressing in the past on this bl**dy phone and something always worked in the end ....but I couldn't remember what combination worked ..EVER....just relieved it got fixed. So each time was a 'new' time ie starting the process of different combinations all over again trial and error. Today was particularly bad and of course i desperately needed my phone to be working. I felt like snapping it in half. What I did was I followed all your instructions for 1 round then started again and as I looked through the comments I'm sure i found one which said 'Press Power Button AND BOTH Volume keys at the same time and it worked straight away ...and i almost cried lol. Whether your system works for everyone and every different phone is not the issue . Its the fact you get the debate going and we all learn one way or other. So Mega thanks for that AND try the double volume key press with power - it worked for me

My Samsung Galaxy s5 got water damaged. All the buttons work, the lights light up, I still get noises for notifications, etc. But, the screen is completely black. Sometimes I can touch the screen and it is responsive, but most the time is not. The phone initially got damaged a few months ago, the water is dried up. What can I do to fix this? Is there a fix, or am I out of luck? Help me, thanks!

Mine didn't work. i have a Samsung galaxy s5. ive tried it about 7 times. it worked a few times for either a few minutes or an hour but then the screen went black again. I tried hitting the volume up, power and home button reset but the screen was black so I couldnt see the reboot screen.

This isn't how to fix this issue at all. The lcd is defective in a ton of the different galaxy devices.

I've been trying the 1st method for the best part of an hour now, rinse and repeat but it doesn't seem to work. this helped me with my Samsung note that was stuck on startup loop. thanks! the only problem is it did happen again a couple days later and I had to come back and go through the again. holding power, home, and volume down while plugged to power helped .

Wow... incredible - it did work !... Black Screen (except for notifications) on my S5. After emptying cache in recovery mode (didn't change a thing) and trying to access Safe Mode (unable to get there), this the simplest of methods, actually solved it... coincidence? In any case thanks :)

I fixed my KSOD (K is borrowed from the printing industry for "black") on my LG Stylo 5 Plus by running a plastic spudger down one side of the case; not opening the case wide open, just relieving a little bit of the pressure the back is applying to the innards. Some phones can be resurrected by squeezing them like the videos sometimes show, while some-*like mine*-get fixed by releasing and relieving pressure on the insides. Applying more or less pressure, it's about an *open* somewhere in the circuitry. It's pretty obvious that phone manufacturers have some work to do on finding and fixing this one.
