Fix Internet Connection Issues in Windows 10
Having trouble with your computer internet connection? want to reset network settings? these commands below can resolve a lot of internet connection problems and i will show you step by step on how to resolve and repair your pc network adaptor settings.
Reset the TCP/IP stack:
Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
Type netsh int ip reset and press Enter.
Release the IP address:
Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
Renew the IP address:
Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
Flush and reset the DNS client resolver cache:
Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.
You might want to try and update your network adopter or roll back to a previous version.
You can also uninstall and reinstall your network adaptor to see if this fix's the problem.
Also try and disable your antivirus and firewall to see if you get internet access. Another thing to try is to boot into safemode with networking to see if you get internet access.
If your still having problems with network card and you have tried all the above, boot to a Linux live cd and see if you get internet access if you do then the network card is working OK and its a windows setting.

My Asus gaming laptop turn off wifi in around 30 min and if I connect again it says can't connect to this network and then wifi icon disappears..If I do same like in this video ...I am just afraid what if windows got erased.

Thank you so much, the part involving the CMD fixed my network connection! Update*- so the cmd command ipconfig / renew worked for me. However after i turn off my computer the same problem happens again resulting in me having to do the cmd commands all over again

For the people who have just discovered this video, I was having connection problems with my laptop anytime i left the house. Worked fine at home but not in public places. I did exactly as suggested in this video and the first part, the reset part was all that was needed and it fixed itself very easily. Give it a try people, it worked for me.

When I restart the computer hangs on the restart screen with the spinning circle and I have to hold the power button and when I get back on there’s no sidebar option to reset network

I have had to do this literally a couple of hours ago. Having done the rest, I was horrified to discover that in Device Manager, although my network hardware was showing, they all had yellow exclamation marks and would not reinstall the drivers. HOWEVER, after a second reboot, all of my connectivity was restored. So, don't panic if this happens to you - just restart the PC. (I used the reset method)

If all of the WLAN Miniport's had the yellow exclamation mark was showing on all of the drivers you could've just disabled and enabled all of them worked for mine, And don't worry rebooting is also cool too.. But if you find a fix can you involve of teaching me how? Thanks.

Thank you. I just resolved my issue thanks to the troubleshooter. I had my vpn on killswitch mode, which does not alloy internet connection if the vpn is not connect. But I was not even logged on my vpn account for days. And suddenly it prevented my to go on internet. The problem was solved immediately when I unistalled it.

Success. Tried and failed with several other videos. Only thing you might add for other nontech types like myself is when to restart the computer. I did the whole set of cmd prompt commands which then did not work. All I needed was the winsock reset. Thanks much.

can you pleasse help me, I reset the network and that didnt fix it. I have an alienware 17 r3 and I was getting fast speeds until I upgraded to windows 10 pro I think something is wrong in my settings. I contacted my isp and they said nothing is wrong with my modem. Now the fastest I can get is 450mbps and I have the 1gb speed and got 875 before. I dont know what to do so please help me I have tried everything. thank you

THX! Fist nothing worked for me, no reset, no cmd commands, no virus check or ccleaner, nothing. But what fixed the problem for me was installing Netadapterrepair and running all the stuff that is on the first page. Now my internet works. It used to take multiple minutes every time I started my pc to connect to internet, now its instant. :)

Wow! Totally worked! I went from downloading at 400Kb/s on steam to 26MB/s. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I used the first method of resetting the network settings.

Hey Brian, first and foremost thanks for the straight forward video. A lot of videos tackling this issue are very messy and hard to understand (coming from a normal guy who doesn’t know if what he’s doing is going to hurt his computer) But I’ll get to the point. I have tried numerous amount of attempts and hours into trying to fix my computer. I tried uninstalling network drivers, updating them no luck. Going to my manufacturers website and updating all those drivers, no luck. WLAN confit restart, no luck. Even downloading the repair tool from this video. I’m constantly stuck on the Ethernet symbol with no luck. WiFi icon is not hidden, it just isn’t anywhere to be found. I use this computer for work and am in dire need of help. Any input you have would be appreciated!

Great video Britec. I'm going to use the the last 2 programs you mentioned to fix a friends pc. He clicked on and downloaded something from a popup. It bricked his pc. I think running those last 2 programs you mentioned will help. TX.
