Howdy, Brother! I can't thank you enough this video. I ran into the same issued concerning drilling out the port for the throttle cable. Thanks again for your time and effort. P.S. I bet your beautiful Chief Mechanic is about 4 for 5 years old by now. God Bless!

Yes sir. Thank you for watching and I'm glad it helped. He is 3.5 now and thinks he's a full grown man.

Always good to know how to fix things in the field but my 45 has earned it's money back at least a 100 fold, so just buy a new one and keep the old one for parts! Mine's been running faultlessly for five years commercially, job done!

They are pretty solid machines. They can be a little stiff to start sometimes but run strong. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe!

What carburetor number did you buy?

What did you use to make the throttle cable fit in the new carburetor. I think that I'm having the same problem as you. Please and thank you.

I tried switching connectors and everything, in the end I swapped it for the correct carb because it was a customers.

Hey buddy, how have you been? Haven't heard from you for a while. Must be the busy season.
@SmallEngineRepair4 жыл бұрын
Hey, been doing good. This is usually our slower season but we've had a few bad storms here so the shop is covered with generators and chainsaws. And deer season is just getting started so 4wheelers and side-x-sides are coming in too. Maybe word is finally getting out about the shop and we won't have a slow season anymore. I'd be okay with that but I do miss making videos.

I'd like to point out that the older carbs, like this HS45 unit....were still made here. The "replacement" units are Chinese junk. They work for about a week.....then end up in the garbage. Do not.....discard your old carb.

Spot on. It's OEM for a replacement or nothing at all i.e. rebuild the original. That said, if it's the check valve in the original that is bad that is very hard to access and remedy.

I have the same machine.that SOB has never run right even when it was brand new.Right from day one it was tempermental.hard to start won’t idle continually restarting.Even the mechanics couldn’t get it right.I’ve been fixing and repairing all kinds of small equipment for over fifty years and I couldn’t keep this MF running.right now it might have 8 hours of use in two years.what brand of carb is it.I’m thinking Zama?Chinese knockoff no good in my books.
