Thank you heaps dude, I’m glad you covered both the options that are in that #5 safe mode category. This seems to have solved my issue for now and I don’t wanna jinx it but yeah, I was freezing on boot up and it kept giving the same system error message. First thing I did was stop using my extended storage because I felt like that was half the reason it kept shutting off, because it was restarting to repair that. I suppose I feel a bit better knowing this is a very common issue and it’s probably mostly because it’s still a new console I legit got my PS5 today and was playing AC Odyssey happily for hours until it froze then hard crashed

Call of the Mountain was crashing several times in the middle of the game with the PSVR2 headset on. I'll try your tips and hopefully will resolve the crashing issue. Another possibility is to clear the dust on the filter within the PS5 console that might be interfering with the cooling.

For me it’s freezing on the save screen of old ps4 games where when you play it on ps5, it uses the PS5 inbuilt system save screen (like a black pop up thing) rather than the games own save screen like when you play on ps4

Thanks. I hope this finally stops my PS5 from crashing so often. I haven't been able to enjoy playing Elden Ring because my PS5 crashes every 10 mins.. It was also doing this while trying to play Dirt 5. I've had nothing but hardware issues with this console.. It's actually upsetting the amount of problems I've seen from the PS5. Rest mode has given me nothing but issues.. I've had to completely turn it off.

I get gta online crashing but seems to only happen every few days or so. I tried this, so will see what happens. Sony seem to be aware of it and so far no ETA on a patch for this.

When I play cod cold war it crashes mid game, it freezes and then I get error and then I comes to the menu again! How do I fix this issue, it happened only once but now I'm nervous to play it because I see lots of people having a similar issue but instead of just getting an error code the hole system crashes, and in some cases the consoles get bricked.

I have done everything this video mention. I know that the only games affected are ps5 games. When I tried playing chivalry it crashed. The same happened with demon souls. But atleast I know the error code which is CE 108255-1

Whenever I play any ps4 game on my ps5, it'll work for like 5 minutes, I'll hearing a buzzing noise, then the whole system shuts down. Wtf

So I definitely wanna try this but figured id give you my problem before: In the middle of my stream, my PS5 shut off. Its happened before. When I opened it again, it made some of my gme files corrupted and it advised me to delete and redownload the game apps. I did and still nothing. Would you suggest trying this method?

This happens to be on Rachet & Clank: Rift Apart and Operation Tango. On R&C it will freeze before the title screen and on OT it does it when launching the first mission. My PS5 does this with no other game. Suggestions? I've tried everything here

I’ve been trying to play Batman Arkham Knight through back compat and it’s been crashing like every 15 or 20 minutes. I haven’t had any other games have that problem and it makes me wonder if it’s the game or something to do with the hardware.

Just tried this on my ps5, only got the console last week and iv been playing black desert online but it has been crashing non stop every time I try to kill a boss or do anything important. I’m using Ethernet cable with 1gb speeds so it shouldn’t be happening. This does seem to have smoothed things out so far but time will tell hopefully this will be what’s needed.

I bought a PS5 Subnautica Below Zero game and it was fine for first month then it started doing game app or error on me but all other games no issues. So i order Subnautica PS4 game, and after three or four hours it does same thing so im thinking its my PS5 console, so i get Rent A Center to replace my PS5 for brand new one, and sure enough the Subnautica game still gives me the app error. So i had tried almost everything except for these tips i just saw on your blog. Im now thinking its obviously the games that are defective. I ordered Subnautica Below Zero from Fingerhut, and Subnautica from Amazon, when i got the packages they were really hot as i live in Arizona so im wondering if maybe the heat affected the games or if they were just already defective from the company. Just wanted some input as to what you might think the issue is. I don't see how it could be the PS5 as i just got it brand new out of the box yesterday. Im playing Spiderman Miles Morales and no problems from it, as i said all the other games gave me no issues on the other console except both Subnautica games.
