Thankyou, this video is just what I need. My 307 is the same year, same colour and has the same problem! Now I just need to fix it!

Just wash the plastic hinge mechanism (without the switch) and it should work as new, at least it did on mine. The boot was royaly annoying me for some time now, but finally managed to fix it.

I had this issue on a Citroen c3 picasso. The plastic part with the micro switch is identical as the Peugeot part. The switch wasn't the problem. It was the plastic part that you touch to open the door. It had lost its ability to move away from the micro switch due to its "return springs" of bendy plastic falling off! I made 2 new ones from stainless steel welding wire. Now better than new.

@@colintinker7778 Many thanks for the comment. I washed them all, especially the hinge part and works like new now. I thought I saw a space for two springs and it ocurred to me that they might have been lost. Still though, works with just washing and making it loose. Many thanks again.
