Here is how to fix the problem where WiFi keeps turning off automatically. Fix this annoying issue and get your smartphone working as it should normally.

Yes it worked thanks!!! I held the location icon for a few seconds than the menu appeared, then I touched the 3 vertical dots and clicked on scanning and turned off . So a bit different but same thing!!

I tried that. Still turns on by itself!!!! Never started doing this till about a month or so ago. I have a samsung 7j sky. Never tirns,off by itself....only on. Big brother??

i've got a galaxy a5, still wont work either. if anyone figures it out can you please tell it here? someone mentioned something about virgin blacklisting internet, are any of you with virgin too?

another guy commented and what they said worked for my phone! never more joy, thank you a million! i'll copy and paste for anyone who wanders across this comment; @drædays I have found a fix for my Galaxy S7 running Android 8.0 Oreo after this method didn't work for me. First thing you're gonna wanna do is boot your device in safe mode: 1. Turn the device off. 2. Press and hold the Power key past the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge screen. 3. When "SAMSUNG" appears on the screen, release the Power key. 4. Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key. 5. Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting. 6. Safe mode will display in the bottom left corner of the screen. 7. Release the Volume down key when you see Safe Mode. If the Wi-Fi continues disconnecting while in safe mode, this method will NOT work. However, if the problem goes away while in safe mode, this means a third party app is causing the issue. Restart your device to return to its normal state, then: 1. Go to settings 2. Connections 3. Wi-FI 4. Click the 3 dots in the top right corner 5. Advanced 6. Wi-Fi Control History Here you can see the apps that have turned your Wi-Fi on or off recently. I found an app that I had installed recently which wasn't trusted so it was messing with my wifi. After I uninstalled it, the problem went away. I am unsure if Wi-Fi Control History is available on older versions of Android. If it is not an option on your phone, try uninstalling any apps you may have installed recently according to when your Wi-Fi started disconnecting by itself.

I have found a fix for my Galaxy S7 running Android 8.0 Oreo after this method didn't work for me. First thing you're gonna wanna do is boot your device in safe mode: 1. Turn the device off. 2. Unfortunately this method didn't work for me... wifi button continues to jump off after clicking it on... and yes, I've reset my phone to factory settings twice! And still wifi problems...
