A couple of things were missing from these instructions and that was which file system to select. I read other instructions that told me to select EXT2, then swipe to repair, then go back and select EXT4 and swipe to repair. After doing that, mine was fixed. Very much appreciated for your video. It has taken me all day but your instructions were what got me going again.

Please help I managed to root my phone using the stocked image but the problem is it’s still encrypted. Using twrp I can’t repair the data partition because it will not give me that option. I can’t flash no verity encryption zip because is says operation not permitted. I have no password or Lock Screen on my phone and I tried default_password but nothing seems to work

I was trying to factory reset my phone and it had a fingerprint lock ...now am stuck on "type password to decrypt storage" ... every password I type shows correct but says data on my phone is corrupt so factory reset...then same story repeat it's like 30+ times I tried

Hi and thanks for those tips. I have a redmi note 11, and it asks for a password. I use my pin code, it works. But then if I want to backup the data partition, I have a message error : "createTarFork() process ended with error: 255". So I tried to wipe data, then the passsword popup disappeared but when I restart the phone and reconfigure it, the password popup appears again and the backup issue also... Is there anything that can be done to solve that ? Thanks !

Nothing worked, after changing file system. Phone started from beginning and asking for email to continue. And after that twrp recovery went back to stock recovery.

Great tutorial, but nothing helped unfortunatelly for me but I don't want to wipe my data. So a question: When I enter Wipe/Advanced, I do not have option to repair Data, only to Change filesystem which is currently EMMC. Maybe changing it to Ext4 would help? When I check System instead of Data, there is repair option and I see that System has Ext4 filesystem in use.

Number 2 worked for me on my LG V20. Flashed H91820h and password came up before I got to install magisk to root. After solution 2, no password so managed to install everything.

Hi i'm running Lineage OS 18 on my Motorola e5 plus, when i click wipe > Format Data and reboot to recovery it removes the password prompt but as soon i reboot to system and i reboot back again to recovery the password prompts appears My Motorola can't install the orange fox recovery. Is there any solution for this problem. Note: i didn't finish setup so there isn't a password or anything set by me.

My mobile don't have rom now (no system os writes) & I should to install it with twrp but requires decrypt password. I used my pattern which I had but not any result because now os in not installed on my mobile anymore. What password to use so that to decrypt it ?

After the format how i can add the rom itself i want becuase its on my internal storage

Hey there, I did Format Data and rebooted to recovery, TWRP didn't ask for a password this time. Rebooted to system again and when I tried to go back into Recovery Mode, TWRP was gone and the detault recovery was there instead. Any ideas on why this could be happening? I tried twrp by pc. img installed by pc but i didnt install "lazy flash no encryption.zip" b/c totrial i followed has no instructions for installing it. when flashing complete, i restart phone, it stuck at logo, i gone to recovery, it asked password for drcyption. trying many suggested solution but didn't work. I had important data I couldn't afford to format it. ​suddenly, idea came that this recovery asking for pass, why not install other recovery it many not ask pass. ​I try to go to fastboot, after 3th 4th attempt I go to fast boot, connected to pc. using same method installed redwolf recovery. tada. observed redwolf not asked any password. success 🙌 I already put that lazy no encryption check zip file in internal memory so quickly installed it. ​restart phone, no stuck, no boot loop, all data ok
