Blue Screen errors (also sometimes called black screen errors or STOP code errors) can occur if a serious problem causes Windows to shut down or restart unexpectedly. You might see a message that says, "Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer." These errors can be caused by both hardware and software problems. If you added new hardware to your PC before the Blue Screen error, shut down your PC, remove the hardware, and try restarting. If you're having trouble restarting, you can start (boot) your PC in safe mode.
Errors addressed in this tutorial (among many others):
This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops,and tablets running the Windows 10 operating system (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba,Lenovo, and Samsung).

When I go into safe mode it won't even let me click on anything, the mouse icon is just continuously the blue spinning wheel as if it's loading but it never stops so I can't even uninstall any software. Any solution?

For anyone wondering, I ended up doing a full reset. It meant losing all my settings etc, but I did not lose anything on my Hard drives except the one that the OS was installed on. All in all, fairly painless but still frustrating Since then, I’ve turned on restore points and created a restore point in case it happens again

If you restore back to previous time stamp how do you prevent the next update from doing the same issue again? Turn off updates? Or is there a solution to get compatibility correct?

hey so, I decided to follow the command prompt and followed each step but, when I press enter on 'dir', it only says 0 files and 2 dirs, when I did cd \windows\system32\config, "The system cannot find the path specified." even when I did it to the 'd:' or other drives, it won't work, because for 'd:' it appears with "The volume does not contain a recognized file system." "Please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted." any advice?

I have a dell laptop. It was cleaned and Converted to MBR. And im trying to install windows 10/8.8.1 using both usb and DVD. He actually made a big mistake who ever continued with this method they made the situation more worse because at that point you should never continue if you see 0 as bytes in front of the packages it will erase everything

HELLO GUYS!!!( Sorry if I have any grammar mistakes) I think most of you still facing this problem Here is the simple thing I did: I had dual ram of 4gb(totally 8gb), I took one of the ram and another was still fixed in my PC but I was still facing that problem . Then I took the ram away from PC and fixed another ram into the PC and it works continuously for 4hrs without automatic restart problem.I had warranty for the ram , so I returned it and reclaimed another and its working smoothly now.

Was so happy trying 3rd option at end of your video & it was working fine until the part where you type copy *.* .. Then it says "it is not recognised as an internal or external command" WTF why? Help pls someone. This blue screen happened a couple of weeks ago, not sure if it was an update or it crashed from rainstorms. It just keeps restarting with option to choose a keyboard. I cannot do anything. I've tried everything in the advanced options.

Enable safe mode instead. It is so much better than automatic repair because it allows you to troubleshoot a virus very quick and fixes unstable windows

Upgrade from ddr3 to ddr4 and new mother board with newer i5 processor and everything worked fine for a couple weeks. Then another windows 10 update happened and it gave this screen. Suspect a driver compatibility issue. Unfortunately advanced options troubleshoot didn’t work. Took the hard drive out and plugged into laptop and all the files look intact.

Hello I did all the instructions that you said and at the last part copy *.* .. and it says “The system cannot find the file specified” what does that mean?
