Fix Windows Update Problems in Windows 10
having trouble with windows updates causing error code 0x800f0922 or any other error code? Well we are here to help you fix your pc problems. I will show you how to troubleshoot problems updating Windows 10 or Windows 11. Its important that you have enough free space in your C drive to install the latest Windows. Please watch the whole video and don't skip any steps, if you follow these steps, it will help fix Windows Update issues for all Windows 10/11 update errors.

Hey, I just wanted to ask you about my issue it's driving me up the wall don't understand why a full reset using a download version of the Win 11 Update from Microsoft. I just ran it now got to around 75 to 80% I missed out on the excat % but I got a message that the new update failed. P.s. I had an issue my laptop started up just like always all and it needed a few windows 11 updates got all but 1 with a very similar error code as your friends above. I tried all normal methods of repairing and all troubleshooting ways plus into bluescreen option advanced tried a cmd repair and found out that I have the 87 error code here is a copy of both the different cmd input result commands I got, even ran both the fix windows update tools 1st: the 12 options that runs pretty much on auto just needed to type in the right numbers then 2nd: cmd as Administrator running the scf /scannow failed. Example 1: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag. Example 2: Error: 87 The cleanup-image option is unknown. For more information, refer to the help by running DISM.exe /?. The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log This is where I'm stuck like I said I followed your advice not to use my computer files to reset windows 11 without losing my files and apps so I'm not sure what do you recommend do I need to do a full system reset all my files and apps bring Win 11 back from scratch? P.s This happened like I said above all but 1 update got the error code this was after my laptop just shut down think it wasn't a good shut down then did the restore from my last working update after putting in my bit locker number and after this is when it went crazy I can't open the Microsoft store, can't put the cursor in the search bar both the pinned just pops up then disappears then when I open my windows the above search as well will not let me type and last I can still watch Netflix and most other apps just can't use windows in it's correct format. Any help would be appreciated kind regards, Ben V

Did the first few steps in this with the reset tool and the cmd steps, not 100% sure which one did the trick but IT WORKED!! And I wasn’t even having the error you were in this video. Mine would download and “install” the update but upon reboot it would fire right up into Windows like no update was even attempted. THANK YOU!! This has been the bane of my existence for weeks now. Every video I’ve watched on KZfaq trying to fix this has assumed everyone’s and idiot and does the most basic troubleshooting methods, all which everyone has attempted prob before being on KZfaq, and none have obviously worked. So amazing, I cannot thank you enough!! Liked, commented, and you got yourself a subscriber as well 😉 way to go man. Great job.

A good video Brian it has given me a few ideas if confronted with this problem. In the past I have found that pausing updates followed by a reboot has also fixed the problem. However I do like the little tool you mentioned, and I noticed as we went through it had some good features that could be handy in their own right.

on pressing number 2 my system just sits there on deleting backup and I have to close it, just never finishes that step. My pc seems to keep restarting. I tried to reset it but it takes too long and pc restarts. so now trying other fixes as it will restart every 10 to 20 minutes so not a ton of time for fixes. I am trying all the steps even with the first one select 2 not completing, I just went on to the next ones.

Just last week I had a problem with Windows updates on my Win 10 pc. Downloaded updates would not install. After about 3days of getting update error messages I Googled how to fix it and I went to the updater troubleshooter under Settings>Updates and Security. After it ran through its thing, problem was solved.

I’d been chasing an update issue for months now with many KZfaq videos watched. All failed attempts and countless hours troubleshooting I can’t get back but then this guy fixed my issues with a 10 min video lol wasn’t even having the same error he was either. I said the same thing too, subscriber for life!

Thank you Britec09 My last 2 updates wouldn't install. The two files are pending restart. What happens is it reboots then hangs with a circle spinning around for hours. Wind up having to do a restore which puts me back in the same situation. I did notice one thing. In my disk management. I do not show system reserve drive , but just system - does not say reserved . It is 28% fragmented and it won't let me defrag using the windows tool. Don't know if this could be the issue before I try these fixes in this video.

I keep running number 6 and i keep getting this message even after i rebooted my pc, There is a system repair pending which requires reboot to complete. Restart Windows and run sfc again.

the solution was for me is to run creation tool from MS within windows 10 and I just upgrade windows while keeping the settings and apps ... and everything was working fine again.

when i click on externd it says partition wizard cannot extend the specified partition not enough free space and i increased it to 4gb

i tried everything in the video but sadly it didn't help :( i am getting the error code (0x80073701) when trying to install a cumulative update called KB5017380 i have tried both letting windows update do it and a manual update as well. but no log

The only time I got this error was after uploading a Canon printer driver for the wrong model range. Deleting it in 'Settings/Bluetooth & other devices/Printers & Scanners' fixed it. I regularly do a 'Disk Cleanup' on 'Windows (C:) Properties'. If my operating system is no longer supported, updates are no longer available, and I use 'Windows Media Creator' to install a curent version of Windows. Replacing Windows 8 on Sandra's laptop with Windows 10 kept it going until the (irreplaceable) battery gave up.

Hi Brian, many thanks for all the videos you produce. I have tried using the tool but get the follwoing error message The system cannot find the file specified File not found C:\Windows\winsxs\pending.xml The system cannot find the file specified. when running the dism /online / cleanup-image /restorehealth im getting a error :23... data error (cyclic redundancy check). the dism log file can be found at c:\windows\logs\dism\dism.log... anyone else running into a similar problem

I changed the unallocated space before so I could then change the other on to 1gb as my hard drive is too big to do that with the slider, ever since then I can’t get in my pc at all.

Hi, Brian I like to tinker with programs and I had a problem with reset windows update tool Acronis Cyber Protect antivirus kept blocking it even when I turned it off but I finally got it to work by running it in safe mode so for those who have Acronis on their system run reset windows update tool in safe mode and it will work

Hi, i'm having a similar problem with updating to upgrade to windows 11 but my error code is different, 0x8000ffff. I don't mind if i can upgrade or not but now it constantly says there is an update installed and i have to restart my computer but i've done it quite a few times. It won't allow me to reinstall windows and all the solutions in this video did not work for me. When i run the scannow command it just says there is a pending update, do you know how to solve this issue?

Is it just me or anyone else notice Windows 11 update seems a LOT less intrusive/annoying than it did in Windows 10?? Perhaps Ive just set it up slightly different in 11, but in Win 10, it was just constant......always wanting to update and often it mess up my Windows installation, but in Win 11 I seem to just update once every 3 or 4 weeks........instead of like every few days in 10.

Hello, Used to not getting "4" Healthy ( Recovery Partition ) but now I have seen them like 240MB // 1.01GB // 18.03GB // 1.47GB. Wanna deal with them but not sure which one is safe to eliminate. It wasn't there from beginning but after updates Window 11. ( just only when you have time though., to also make to the public so helpful to others )

A negative feeling to Windows Updates 10/11. I'm still using Windows 10 on one of my laptops. About March 2023, I've noticed that my Wifi 6E AX210 running at 2400 Mbps started misbehaving by dropping speed to 1200 Mbps and not stable with slow response in connecting Wifi and I thought my Wifi card may be needed for cleaning/replacement. When I have a July Updates, I've noticed that my Wifi speed can run as normal spec. at 2400 Mbps. I almost buy a new Wifi card due to March 2023 Updates. And I'm now calling the name of Windows as "Microsoft WIN iDiot Of WindowS" by their performances.

I've set up an old laptop from 2017 and it's really far behind on updates and it keeps saying it's downloading feature update for windows 10, version 21H2, but it never gives me an error code, it restarts successfully but says it failed and starts again from 0%

I update latest version 22H today and I have problem whit screen it’s stretched oversized ? Update graphics nothing all videos on yt have watch noting helps ! And my screen is oversized and under I have duplicate screen maybe 8 cm and it’s like burned yellow but above its normal ! My "WINDOWS UPDATE" was gone after a virus enter my laptop. After I remove them after deep scanning and using Malwarebytes, I couldn't see the interface of Windows Update anymore. Any suggestion is welcome cuz I need help. 😭

My pc doesn't have a partiotion called system reserved....I Ihave 2 disks called Disk 0 partition 1 & 4 - 1= 100 mg 4 = 1 gigabyte they both say 100% free.....
