Wow. This has to be one of your best vids yet. Especially for folks relatively new to racing. While I've always been particular with regards to the build measurements, I've never realized that my steering endpoints have never been set far enough - what you've described as "full lock" in the vid. This is an invaluable Piece of Information!! I'm an Old Fart, and have been out of the Competition Stress Pot for almost 18 Years. STILL, this is Excellent info for EVERYONE at every Skill Level. Proper Tuning gives you more satisfaction, helps your Car live longer, and saves money - because a misadjusted Suspension can wear out Tires, Bearings, Shocks and other Components much faster than a well maintained Car!! I did not even think about the servo being placed differently on the spline from car to car. Rc aircrafts everything is always 90 degrees. Thank you for this video.

Nice tip at the end! I learned that racing oval pan cars. We would do that to see how free the car was week to week because we dailed out so much steering with dual rate.

This was great, especially about considering those arcs.

This is a fantastic video of an expiation. People ask me all the time to driver there cars and that is the first thing I would notice. The circle thing at the end of the video I do before every race along with trim to keep my car consistent

Digital calibrator you're the man

Yah good call on the turning radius- been doin it for years - lining it up on a line outside on the concrete checking steering is equal left to right at 100 percent dual rate and also 80 percent dual rate- definitely needed with protek servos that don't buzz under endpoint stress

Wow 🤩 I really enjoyed this video, because that’s where I struggle with my HPI Recon. Because they don’t share servo specs on recon.

I use to do dumb dumb things to try to get my car to steer evenly, it has to be right from the start, it's a chain of things that will go wrong if not done right. Great video jason.

I have a spektrum 6040 and when its its zeroed out the horn goes on like you tlr pic. This is prob why there menual shows it like that since tlr and spectrum are owned by horizon. My sc5 shows it straight in its manual so i have to adjust the trim to get it even. Great video man!! Keep them coming

Good video Jason. Another point that some people don’t consider is any steering link change will effect endpoints. After a toe or Ackerman change it’s always a good practice to readjust epa. As a rule of thumb toeing in requires more epa and toe out the opposite.

If you have a linkage where there is slack you can try and plastic weld the slacky parts together

Hey Jason I know its not a buggy but hopefuly you can help me out. My arrma infraction pulls to the right and slow crawling speed as well as at fast speed. Ive tried everything! New chassis new bearings so steering servo replaced all parts that were bent and binding alignment looks perfext to me. Ive re set radio and recalibrated. Pretty much only thing I havnt tried is a new radio and reciever. Nothing is binding. This has been driving me nuts! Please if you could give me your input id appreciate it. Ive been tinkering with this for weeks!! Ive stripped the car down 3 times cleaned everything and inspected everything for bent or broken parks.

Maybe you can help me, I’m still a noob at this... got a losi super rock rey that got into a big crash. Replaced bent parts due to torque twist on acceleration but that’s another concern. My current concern for now is steering/servo... I’ve replaced the servo with the same brand that came with from factory with the same horn and bellcrank. I’ve tried so many times to center the servo horn so my trim can stay in the middle, but for some reason that I don’t know. I could never get the servo horn to stay neutral with the steering trim in the middle... it’s either I’m on the far left or right. And there isn’t much movement I could do with the servo horn. I only move it like a tooth back and forth. And seems to be way far off... what else adjustments can I do? I’ve tried doing end point adjustments but it seems gotten worse...

You can go to Harbor freight and get a digital caliper for under 20 bucks with the digitals screen. Hope this helps

Hello I just built my first drift car but my steering does not self straighten outs after a turn also my steering arms rotate as opposed to move back and forth when the servo pulls the steering link so you know why this happens?

Any idea on fixing stiff steering on a new build, the Kyosho MP10e? Not sure if it's overtightened bellcrank or WTF is happening. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Great video! I am a complete noob to this. I just finished building my first rc car build (tamiya Tt-02). When I turn it on the wheels immediately turn sharp right and stuck there. Is this a potential operator error with the servo setup?

Some people say turn down the speed on the servo through the radio does this help?

help please i have a rock rey 1/10. It has alluminium wheels and big tires 6inch. a bit heavy and when i turn left and let go it centers fine then i turn right and it dosent center well it will stay more right. its a 6v servo but would a 7.4 hv servo help with that thanks.

What happens if servo horn cant center,and then use up almost all the trim to center?

Can anyone help? I’ve just got my son a DEERC 200E. We took it out today and when it’s set down on the floor the wheels barely move from left to right (no steering) When it’s off the ground the wheels will steer.

What happened to that set up video you had up before (I think around 2 months ago) I wanted to show to a friend and it was taken down. It had a lot of good info in it what gives?

post it notes are your friend, sticky side up, one under each front tire and you rid yourself of bind.

What if my servo turns more in one direction than the other from where it centers?

I've put two servos on my rig and they are really weak. I've put them on a different rig and they're really strong and fast, any one know what it could be?.
