How joyful it is to give from our abundance, Paul tells the Corinthians. There is no better example of that than Jesus' healing a long-suffering woman and raising a child from death. His words, "Your faith has made you well!" sound absolutely wonderful. Faith bringing about an answer to prayers that seem to have gone unanswered. In the same way, we can offer hope to our troubled world by giving of ourselves freely and abundantly, too; having taken it to the Lord in prayer.
