How do I move existing Etsy listings to Printify? Also can I move some to Printify and fulfill some myself on the same shop?

@@asanwa2906 Great question, So I can answer this in parts. Do you have your Etsy shop connected with Printify? If so, you can manually switch orders from Etsy by going to custom orders in Printify. You would need to upload the design in Printify and send the order there. Are you trying to sell both POD and in house products in the same store? What would be the reason for this? I am here to help.

@Fixed Point I have a few glitter designs that I may need to continue fulfilling myself if Printify doesn't do glitter. Also I'm scared of moving all production to printify at a time...I have trust and control issues, I guess. Lol!

@@asanwa2906 Okay, I see. Due to you selling glitter designs, I would keep that in house. For the products that are basic designs: meaning without glitter, I would use printify to fulfill those orders if you want to set up something a little more passive. Printify has completed tons of orders and has a really good refund plan if something were to happen on their end. If you want to test it out, just move over one item at a time until you get a sale and see the entire process. It is really hands-off and is my preferred method of selling on Etsy. You will need to determine the value of your time. Is it worth it for you to fulfill all the orders yourself, or is it more valuable for you to gain time back and have Printify do the printing and order fulfillment. You can do this! If you need help. great tutorial i legit feel like i have everything i need to start this business thanks to you ❤️ i just have one question i checked the eligible countries on etsy's FAQ and my country wasn't eligible so i just wanted to know if it's going to be an issue if i pick a different country? cuz either way i'll be shipping my products from inside the u.s to u.s customers so it wouldn't matter what country im in?? please let me know if im wrong and thanks again!! ❤️❤️

Thank you for a great tutorial. My question is: If you get an order on Etsy, you will only be paid on the next payment cycle so you have to pay Printify for the order before you get your money from Etsy?

I have a question, you said in the video and also showed that we should focus on micro niches. Although the design you made was just the big mothers day niche again, and not a micro niche like teaching or other professions. Can you tell me why you did this or if i got something wrong.

Hi, so I am always lead by sales data. Though mother day shirts might be a large niche, there are subniches in each top designs. This can be seen in the type of desings used or font choice and or word choice. So follow the data is the best route to get sales. I hope this helps.

Hi, great question. You can leave it hidden, however, it will be visible on Etsy once you publish it from Etsy draft.

Printify will charge you the amount it costs to produce the item first. You do not stock any physical items.

25:56 so simply delete ALL the default mock-ups when in Etsy, and replace with the one created in Canva? Also, with the image placement on the mock-up, created in Canva, how do you ensure that the design is placed in the exact spot that will be printed? Example, I created a mock-up tee in Canva (with a transparent image). However, when I viewed the Printify examples, the image was not sitting as high as my mock-up was so I had to adjust slightly. But then I thought a customer may notice that the image may not be sitting exactly on them as is shown in the shop image.

Yes, you would delete the default mockups from Printify. For mockup placement, you would need to look at your design in Printify and follow that placement when creating your mockup.

All these best selling shirts are $7-$9. That's less than what it costs on printify to make. That is why these are best sellers.

The $7-$9 is not the actual price of the shirt. Most sellers have a low display price because they are listing a product like a baby onesie or a lower price shirt that they made visible as out of stock. Etsy will show the lowest price product that is associated with the listing. They do this to have a low display price to get more people to click in their product. If they can get them to click in their listing, their one step closer to getting them to purchase.

What if you wanted to add a different color of the design while also keeping the original, would you have to do a separate listing? Example: The red/pink love looks good on both the white and black t shirt, but what if you also wanted to give the option of love in purple on a white or black t shirt? Is there a way to show various color options in the same listing?

Hi great question. There is a way do add additional variations to your listings without creating a new one. I have not done a video on this, but in short, you will create a new listing in printify with the design variation you want add, then copy the SKU number from that listings to the original Etsy listing you have create. You would need to go in the backend of your original Etsy listings to add this new SKU manually along with the size and price of each shirt size. I find it easier just to add a new listings.

Great video! Do you suggest opening only a POD Apparel store in 2023 considering the extremely high competition in this space on Etsy? To give you an example, I am interested in opening a POD Apparel store in camping niche. I just typed “Camping t-shirt” on Etsy and it showed me 86,852 results. As a new seller just starting out, how can I make sure Etsy will show my designs in this sea of 86,852 designs considering very few customers go past Page-2 statistically on e-commerce websites for their purchases. I would appreciate your response on this topic,thanks.

Hi, and thank you for your kind comment. YES, now is the perfect time to sell on Etsy. In regards to your comment about competition, I would not target just Camping t-shirt as that is too generic. You want to find the micro niches and create products there. An easy way to find this is to add a person or profession at the beginning or end of your phrase. For example MOM camping shirt or NURSE camping shirt, or a camping shirt for AUNT. I would find bestselling items in these areas and learn what designs are doing well and even find new keywords to target from Bestselling product titles. Also, competition on Etsy only means how many listings are relevant to the search terms. That number does not take into account if those items are selling demanding designs, using proper mockups to attract the shoppers, communicating key value points to bring confidence to the customer, and displaying proper sale value in pricing. All this plays a role in what product gets sales and which ones do not. There is a wealth of knowledge to learn from each micro niche that will provide you with data to use in your next design. Also, I would not open a shop just focus on the camping niche if you are only selling shirts. There are more opportunities you can take advantage of selling in more than once niche. Also, you want to diversify your traffic, meaning, if camping shirt is all that you sell in your shop, what will happen during the winter season when most people are not camping... most likely your sales will drop every year during that time. I hope this helps. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!

Can I sell t-shirts, tote bags, mugs, hoodies and sweatshirts all under one Etsy shop? Or do you recommend opening a separate Etsy shop for each type of product?

Great question. You are allowed to sell all types of products and categories in your shop. I Personally focus on selling one category of product in my shop. You can sell more, but I would more so focus on one as this would give you repeated purchases from previous shoppers.

The problem I see with these shops is that most of these tees cost $20+ after shipping to make, and all of the "bestsellers" on Etsy are in that

Hi, it cost me on average $12-$18 to get shirts made. This includes shipping and what type of product you are selling. Also, the price displayed is not always the price that is charged for the shirt. Some shops run a low display price on an item that is not even available. They do this so it can appear to be a low price product, but if you check their shirt listing price, they are charging anywhere from $18+ or more for shirts before shipping. Also, if you do see a low number on a listing, check their shipping price. I am sure it is higher than the $4 average from printify. I personally have my listing shipping price above $6 per item.

I just started my Etsy and Printify about 2 months ago. I sell real estate merchandise for Realtors. I am also an agent. My sales are slow, but I recently received my first sale. I'm not sure how to decide what size to use for my designs in Canva. I noticed that you went with 5000 x 5000 px but at 23:42 it says the print area size is 4500 x 5100 px 🤔

Great question. This number is referring to the minimum print size area. Allowed to increase the pixel count, but it's not suggested to go below that specific pixel count. All of my products I sell, my designs start with 5000 by 5000 pixels. I hope this helps.

Do you always leave the design size at 15 inches? I notice sometimes when I lower it to 13 or 14 inches the resolution increases which would be better right?

@@janine11112 Okay got it. So ideally you would want your pixel count to be as high as possible and keeping the inches lower would definitely do that, however, I want to size the shirt design large enough (and that can be on a design-by-design basis) so that it covers the shirt properly. With the size I show in the video, the scale of the image is not lowering the quality substantially, however, the goal is to keep the highest pixel count possible. I hope this helps.

@@janine11112 Yup, you may need to check what designs you are using to make sure the settings are high. I however never had an issue with quality. I also take the designs into Canva and recreate them to be my own.
