Can you use the uart reader on a PS3 yellow light. To find out if its the tanlrm captors or a chip problem any one

Sorry - I have never seen UART being used on a PS3, maybe someone else can help

@darren990 yes you can! The thing I think that is being misunderstood by some people is that UART is a device used for reading the SYSCON and other components on PlayStations and other devices. If you do want to learn there a few companies who show you how to hook it up and if your google SYSCON GitHub, you will also be able to learn from there too.

@ConsoleTherapy man that would be awesome! I have one I am able to send pictures to you if you’d like. What type of reads would you be looking for? Would there be ohms readings to SB or another ic?

With the EDM-041 board situated so that the curved section of board is to the left the RX pad is 2nd row down (only 2 in top row) and its the2nd from left. The TX is the furthest left in the 2nd row down next to the RX pad. Remember you have to connect the RX on the board to the TX on the UART reader and the TX on the board to the RX of the UART reader.
