I would replace the Fuel cap, Because the vent, doesn't seem to be working. to test this, when it happens again, I would crack the gas cap loose, let some air into the tank and then see if it starts.

Most of these mowers come with a wall charger. I find they are normally missing and not worth replacing due to cost.

@@andyhamilton8940 if I get one of these mowers, I'll replace the battery, & build the required charger for it myself.

I would charge it, But since I tested the voltage and it come back as zero, there isn't any chance of bringing it back to life.

These are normally sealed batteries with no terminals to access.

I looked at the diagram and I think it a return spring, connects to a lever on the transmission and then to the deck, thru a hole or a slot. IT should be return spring, to help reduce the belt tension, when the self propel, is not being use.

@@HomeGaragechannel yeah I did the same thing for a battery pack for an old drill that died so I bought the replacement rechargeable batteries and made the pack over by connecting the batteries exactly like the dead ones and putting it all back together and it worked so that might be a cheaper route to go but I'm not sure what batteries are in that mower battery pack or how much they would cost a little research and it should be easy to find out if it's more cost effective to either buy a new pack or buy the batteries and make one , in my case for the old drill they wanted 50$ for a new pack and the batteries came in a kit to replace your old ones for 20$ so I just bought the replacement battery kit

sorry to hear that. Have you confirmed that Fuel is flowing into the bowl? If so would consider replacing the carb.

@@HomeGaragechannel haha! That's so true... I was really excited when I managed to score it for the price I did. . Then I started to get into diagnosing it... I honestly feel that going forward, I'm going to avoid these Powermore/Powersmart engines. I would much rather work on a Tecumseh.
