My printer HP GT 5820 is not showing any paper jam in the display panel but paper is stopping half in the input tray. Sound of rolling is coming but papre not going in. Please let me know how to correct this.

my printer cant see the paper when i put papers its still 0

Why after a paper jam or no paper taken from the feeder, the printer will print only a thin line of the document only? For me it is an inconvenience as I need the printer to print all after this. My workaround is to cancel the printing and re-send, but this is so much time consuming! Also, what is the maximum paper weight this printer takes? I am also having issues with the rollers taking paper 180 grs. which is not that heavy. Thanks!
