future reference, widow a/c's need some downgrade tilt to the back of the condenser end needs to be roughly .5-.75 degrees below the evaporator so the condensation can flow/run away from the structure and not pool up and overflow inside the building.

Nice work young man. The only thing l would have done differently would be to put two flat bar or angle iron braces from the supporting shelf holding the A/C units back to the container wall at 45degreees. All the best to you for Christmas and 2022!

Hey MMA. Nice to see a guy using a proper welding process! To many times lately I have seen videos with mobile welders plugging in their mig machines. Instead of running SMAW. Or a fluxcore process. Once again a nice video! Only thing I would have done different is shield the isolation on the inside during welding, that stuff is dangerous when it catches a spark.

Tim, I would suggest you add more insulation to those trailers to cut A/C costs. The blow-in will be OK for now, but another 4" or so of rockwool and some sheet Styrofoam would help a bunch.

the winch is pivoting because the lifting cable is not directly under the girder trolley, it's off to one side so it has no choice but to pivot. shift the winch over on the trolly and it will be all good

I would have used some urethane bushings and just a bolt through that with brackets because of the smoothness but 👍and I see that's what you ended up with

I would have just mounted the winches 90 degrees so the spool was center but either way great work!

Nice job. The only thing that should have been done differently is to include some degree of slope to the rear for the system to drain properly. Most of this info can be fount in the units owners manual.

Welding And Beer 2 Of My Passions To those who think the A/c unit is installed incorrectly The outdoor (condenser) fan blade has a slinger ring around it that runs in the water The slinger ring picks up the water and "slings" it onto the outside (condenser) coil to help cool the refrigerant In humid weather you will sometimes hear the water hitting the condenser fan blades. This is normal Bottom line the water evaporates without need for pitch or a drain

Some people can't fabricate... but when you show those welds a person really has to wonder what is it they can really do? If you really want to do a solid. The winch drum needs to be centered under the trolley, and the support wheels should be centered on the beam. I can truly appreciate the guy wanting to get up and running... his own interests can sabotage his goal. Be the advisor. He brews beer. You work with metals and loads every day. Allow him to focus on the beer, and you take the lead on your side of the house. Brush up on your stainless welding, blending and polishing. I don't know your market, but I've done very well tending to the breweries. A trend I stumbled into when I was doing some structural stuff and noticed the quality issues the stainless crew was producing for a restaurant. I took over that job, then they knew guys starting or remodeling breweries and passed my name along. Up to 70% of my work is stainless. I cap it there because I feel that allows me to capitalize on the trend while not becoming exclusive to it. I'm old enough to know diversification is survival. When it slows down (and it will) I still have all my active contacts in structural, and equipment repair. I don't burn bridges, and I don't over commit to that 30% group. They know when I say I can do something I arrive on time.

If /when you build a window frame for an A/C unit, Make it a few inches oversize in al directions. Your next A/C unit might be BIGGER. It's not hard to fill the gap around the edges.

Only thing I'd have done differently is include a 45ish degree tilt for proper drainage.
