If your window won't go up or down, but you hear the electric motor running when you operate the window switch, then your window might have fallen out of its track. This video will show you how to repair this common problem.

2 things, I would suggest cleaning out the window channels thoroughly and applying a thick coat of dielectric silicone grease to the window channels as well as applying a thin coat of lithium grease to the gear teeth and on the metal window rail where the slider contacts. The window is binding up which is causing it to pull out of the rubber strip. Applying a some RTV Silicone Adhesive is one way to never have to repair this again. Big thing is to make sure the window slides smoothly so it doesn't pull out when you put the window down

Great advice! I didn't show it on the video but I did spray the vertical window channels with a WD-40 silicone spray product. I will definitely take your advice on the RTV silicone adhesive, and the lithium grease, that is a great idea. I have some WD-40 lithium spray as well. Thanks for your comment and advice.

The glass friction is what made the metal track pull off. Looks like you have way more friction than me.

This is very useful but I think in the case where the channel hasn't fallen off of the bottom of the glass, go to the other video on this subject where the two guys take off the channel and use black sealant to attach the channel to the molding, and then attach that assembly onto the window.

My metal track slid 2 inches to the right of my rubber track. Trying to hammer it back without removing the window. Wish me luck.
