Check the coolant temp sensor wiring. I know it sounds crazy but it’s actually preventing my 7bolt 2g from starting. The ecu is programmed to not fire the car if it doesn’t detect that sensor.

Man. I'm sure it's a easy fix. Loose connection or something.. gonna daily the dsm.. not gonna lie. I believe once u get it going it will take u there bro!!

Hey Miguel, you probably watch Ben and Ben, you might want to contact their mechanics that worked on one of the Ben's GSX eventually transferred into a 2nd Gen TSI shell. The mechanics they used might be able to help you out.

I’m new to DSM builds and going over a 97 Spyder GST, I’ve been going through your videos like your first suggested mods video and I was wondering if you could recommend some good websites and resources for aftermarket and oe parts? I want to convert the Spyder to AWD and build it up but a lot of the links I’ve seen posted on the old DDM Tuners forum for sourcing things like the fog lights and what not seem to be mostly discontinued parts or bad links. Any help is much appreciated, love your videos.

Could be a loose crankshaft position sensor wire connector, i had a similar stall out on me once going 50mph, car would crank, but no start i noted the 20 amp engine fuse had kept blowing, but when I removed the cam sensor wire connector and put in a new 20 amp fuse and cranked it the fuse stopped blowing, turns out the crankshaft position sensor and cam are tied my cam sensor was good turns out my crankshaft position sensor wire connector was not fully seated and loose causing the fuse to blowout, i unplugged it and plugged it back in and car started right up pretty easy to check. Side note: Those grooved worm drive clamps, used on the fuel lines in the video, are a bad idea, I get it they got you by, but I would suggest you get some heavy duty clamps with smooth inside so they don't dig into the rubber hose.

I love his videos and his builds but yeah you have a good point. Look at tsuchi, he breaks all of his cars but he atleast does a video driving them for the short duration that they do run.
