It takes a good person to say “I made a mistake or I did it wrong, and this is how I’m going to fix it!” The only way a person can learn is to acknowledge lack of knowledge . So sweet of that lady can help you Marci. I try to do things like that as well. They don’t seem like very big but sometimes they make a very big difference to the person you’re helping. It is hard to cope with all of the kids on a shopping trip. Agree about the grapes being cut in half as a 3 yr old granddaughter started to choke on a large grape. We always said she inhales them as they are her favourite fruit. Love watching the kids growing up and developing their own personalities, they are so cute.

Hello Eldrege family. I absolutely love your channel. Please do not take this as me condemning your parenting skills. As i watched this video, i saw you give your children whole grapes. This terrified me. Please let me say why it did. My best friend for many years had a small boy the same age and your twins. She had him at daycare while she worked. The daycare center gave the children whole grapes and her son choked and died from the center not being able to remove the grape from his throat in time. I understand different people raise their children differently. I would hate for anything to happen to those 3 precious boys. Just a mom here ranting lol

I don't know if you know, but another way to extend the life of your produce is to put it in glass jars with a lid in your refrigerator. It will last sometimes a couple of weeks that way, though with the size of your family, you would probably eat it before that long. I find it very helpful because we are a family of just two, and produce such as grapes and strawberries often come in amount that we cannot eat up quickly.

Spot on about the goats not grazing and foraging… goats know what’s best for them. Goats will eat from chin level up whereby sheep, their head will be down eating. (Grazing) getting back to them knowing what’s good for them. Is all to do with how their stomachs are designed. It has a four part digestive compartment whereby you can tell by a goats coat like you said if they have been eating well or not. What does my head in, is going to a property and seeing a goat or two locked up or roped up in a small area with no feed they should be eating. Some mini farms will run to many goats per acre & not allow areas to recover or they will not plant, seed or plow crops to give the goats a healthy environment to forage in. Farm management.

Marcie I was a single mother of two and powering through was the only way, but if it was a bad time I would just give us a time out at a park or in some shade and catch my breath, as I got older I learnt find a area that is un-popular to other shoppers in the store and go there to get your breath back lol it's not a fool proof way but it will help during stress....

Marci happy that you got help at the store. Sometimes we are lucky enough to get help from wonderful people. I try to do 1 good deed a day when I go out. What this women did would have been me to a tee. Also did you know, you handle your groceries 6-7 times till its acutally put away. Count it! Store shelfs to cart, cart to register, register back to cart. Keep counting how nany time you touch that food etc., lol. Not to mention loading and unloading the children too if you still have them. Mine are grown. No wonder we are pooped after shopping. Crandell the home and your property is really coming along.
