yess always ask for a damage discount!! i work at home depot and ill always give 50-70% for damage.

That was a really amazing discount. I try to do that too. If I see a chip or something broken on an item, that is either something I can fix or it's not noticeable, really. I even used to ask at places like Marshalls and TJ Maxx, and they used to give me discounts their. I haven't asked for a while, so I don't know if they still do it or not. Sometimes, the managers are like I'll give you a dollar off or a couple dollars ." I'm like, "Really, the whole side is cracked, lol." The one time I went to a Michaels and they had some really big pots and they were about 50 or 60 bucks each. There were three of them that were cracked a bit, but it really wasn't that bad, and the manager ended up just giving them to me. I don't think they were supposed to do that, but he did, and I was thankful. I wasn't going to tell on him 😂😂 Hell, he even loaded them up into my truck for me. I did end up giving him a $20 tip 😂

I work at tjmaxx, and we do still give discounts, but they have to do it according to a book that has lists of different damages and if they go over and take more off they can get in trouble. that's why the discount is usually only 10% off. I agree that sometimes the discount should be more, because some stuff is literally falling apart and we can only take off 10% but depending on the management and how damaged something is they might take more off.

My mother has been asking for damage discounts for the LONGEST! Fun fact, you can even ask for a damage discount for dead/dying plants! My mother has a green thumb, she found 2 dead fiddle fig leaf plants a store, the store gave them to her for free. Now they are BIG thriving boys! Lol, most people don't want to ask for a discount but MOST people don't want damaged/dying things (they prefer no diy/nursing).

I've also asked for a "damaged goods" discount on more than one occasion and it's worked in my favor a few times. In fact, when I recently qvisited my local grocery store to check out the clearance section, I found a pack of large sized cookies that were two days past the "best by" date but ended up getting them for free (when the regular price was actually $7) all because I dared to respectfully point out the sticker and politely ask for a discount!!! Mmm, mmm, mmmmmmm delicious sugar cookies!

Please wear a respirator with a particulate filter when sanding. Silicosis is an incurable lung disease caused by inhaling silica dust, which ceramics contain. Fiberglass in the lungs is itchy and no good, either. At the minimum, you should have ANSI x87.1 rated safety glasses/ goggles, a long sleeved shirt (preferably cotton), and closed toed shoes, if not safety toe shoes. Many injuries happen at home where people are more lax about safety. Your end product is beautiful, i just want you to survive long enough to make more creative projects. Safety doesn't always look nice, but having all the body parts you started with certainly does.

A lot of products are actually a loss for the store if damaged. So if u ask for a discount on items like this that are damamged, the store just wants to get rid of it and 10 is more than 0 so...there's ur great discount. But ask nicely. Dont act entitled. And if they say no, no it is.

Ask for the damage discount and store like Lowe’s Home Depot etc DO NOT think at Family Dollar you will get a damage discount and if you argue you’ll get it nah we will throw that ish in the trash before ever giving a discount just saying for the Karen’s 😊
