we are literally the same , every time my jeep has an issue i start throwing parts at it because i’m irritated and don’t know what’s wrong . and it always turns out to be something simple in the end ! congrats my dude

It definitely didn’t turn out to be the cheapest method of fixing it, but hey at least it’s done, right? Haha!

I literally was yelling at my phone saying "it's a boost leak" for like 20 minutes.

That was my first thought as well. I'm surprised he doesn't have a boost leak tester.

Omg thank you for making this video I could of sworn it was the maf and was about to spend a lot of time getting one and this video made me check my coupler which ended p being the actual culprit. Thank you!

The car was talking to you, and you found some serious problems that needed to be fixed. So sometimes it may be a simple fix but the journey helped you from burning up. As they say " It Happens" great vid. P.S. paint the wing red it will go good with the red eye. LOL

for reference, i have a similar sr set up that had all the same symptoms. fixed all the boost leaks and same thing as you and it turned out that my alternator wasnt charging enough so it was making the injectors act up.

I am having a similar issue right now first it was on limp mode, got a maf and wired in a new pigtail, car idles so much smoother and can rev pass 3 grand. Then i noticed fuel pressure was at 7, should be at 35ish. Pulled pump and noticed the hose on the pump was on its last leg, got a new hose and pressure is good now. Now i noticed the car is running rich, you can smell and the smoke. Im going to double check all the intercooler piping, i really hope this fixes the problem. Fingers crossed!

are you fucking kidding me? This is the most coincidental thing holy crap... I just built my ka24det and I was running PIG RICH I had no idea what it was, I did literally everything you did (except for coil packs cuz I don't have those on the 240) I even got my tune from RS-enthalpy. I had my car at my friends shop for 3 weeks and I could not for the life of me figure it out. Turns out one of my intercooler pipe WAS COMPLETELY DISCONNECTED. I cant belive that you had the same exact issue haha. I called martin and he has been trouble shooting with me. I think after all this, the next time someone messages him, he will probably just get them to check their piping first XD. That is just insaine haha

@b taylored make a video of the issue first and post it. then read the comments :) there will always be another S Chassis freak out there that had the same issue :)

B Taylored nah I get it. I tend to always over think things as well. Just got my SR in too. When i first started it, it was making a HORRIBLE noise. Long story short my flywheel was rubbing the stupid dust cover. And I thought it was engine failure. I'm currently trying to fix my throttle and idle. It's at 900. Which is okay. Anything under runs like death.
@BTaylored6 жыл бұрын
I can almost hear the sound lol. Hope it didn’t take you to long to find it!

B Taylored took me 2days. Swapped the motor in and out within those days. Obsessive. :)

don't drill the rotors, get a proper 5 lug conversion
@BTaylored6 жыл бұрын
I think I’m just going to end up going with some conversion rotors. I already have two decent sets of wheels.
