I found 0.021" (25lb test) Zebco Omniflex (Walmart $1.97) worked perfectly. Used a piece of giftwrapping ribbon to pull line around lense.

Can you tell me what size string you used for the repair?

Did you put the string around the whole lens or just the bottom as I didn't see it go over the top??

'Semi'-rimless otherwise if you say rimless, that would require two holes in each lens to hold the nose bridge and temples.
