The old torpedo heater. Classic WI heated garage setup, haha. I'm right there with ya.

Haha you've gotta have one! Nothing like working in a t shirt when it's 10 degrees outside the garage door.

Great video. I see it's a chronic problem with these procross chassis sleds. They have an upgrade kit (2707-496) for the post mounting.

Thanks for the tip, my sled does that somewhat too and I’ve been wanting to dig into it to find out what it was.

I had to fix the same sway bar mount this past spring on my 1100. I too was surprised to see it when I was servicing it for storage. Quick fix with the welder! Ended up having to replace the O2 sensor in the exhaust and the electric reverse motor too.

@@SwankyCatProductions a little more than 5000 miles, it’s a 2013, not sure if that matters or if things improved with later models. Both issues threw a code and lost reverse with the motor. Attempted to fix the gas gauge inaccuracy by bending the float arm a bit, forgot about that project as well. First ride of the winter on Wednesday, either Sawyer or Price co.

Next time, put the tire on the rim and put a ratchet strap around the tire. Inflate it once you have it squished down and it should pop right on. Saves a lot of time.

I tried that a little, might have gave up to quick though. The sidewalls just kept flopping in to much.

Old trick for a tire like that. Might sound scary but I've done it many times. Squirt a little starting fluid in the tire and hit it with a flame. Doesn't need a whole lot. Saved my bacon several times.

Thanks. Videos cover many of the same issues on a 2012 F1100 I just bought. Have anything about the primary clutch chattering at idle? The front and backside housings that clamshell together move slightly where they slide together. I think these have spacers between them that might be worn. Clutch has 3000 miles it.
@SwankyCatProductions
@SwankyCatProductions Жыл бұрын
That does seem odd. I never had to touch my primary, but it was actually replaced shortly before I go it. They may have had issues from the factory?

Have you used a ratchet strap around the tread of the tire once on the rim to bring the beads outwards?

what side of the sled did you access that bolt. I have minimal play in my ZR and want to check it. Thanks for the vid. - follow up - I pulled the boot off and it turns out the dealer tack welded the nut on. :-/

@@SwankyCatProductions slack is minimal now. I could probably give each tie rod and 1/2 turn and get it tighter. I am not sure I want to bother. I’m not sure I will keep this sled very long.

Hey bud did you ever figure out your clutch issue as far as it running too hot? also were you ever able to remove the push out of your skis in the turns?
@SwankyCatProductions
@SwankyCatProductions 3 жыл бұрын
Hey, yep I think I've got the clutch issue fixed. I swapped a newer big fin version secondary and that cooled things down. Adjusting my front track shock down helped the pushing but I think single runner carbides would also make a big difference.
@Coolvo113
@Coolvo113 3 жыл бұрын
@@SwankyCatProductions yeah I have had mine for awhile now I actually put up a video of me changing out the jackshaft to the upgraded one to fix the reverse gear issue they had much happier with the new one, I’m also thinking the longer carbide would definitely help, mines a turbo and with the stock carbide it literally feels unsafe af lol, have you messed with the front skies? As far as the shocks? Also did you decide to leave your skies at the weirder stance or put them back?
@SwankyCatProductions
@SwankyCatProductions 3 жыл бұрын
Nice. Yeah I think longer single runners would be worth a try. I left my skis wider and I did drop the front down a little bit, didn't really seem like it did much though to be honest.

@@SwankyCatProductions Did you adjust the rear spring on the suspension or just the front spring suspension for preload not the springs for the skies just talking about the skid springs front and rear?

Hey bud. 2 questions, 1)hoe tight did you go with the 15mm on the ratchet? I was doing same with a viper and was worried about over tightening and snapping the bolt. 2)more importantly.... Same thing happed a few days ago with my turbo xf. The Sway bar link bracket brok at the welds. Has yours held up since the fix? Did you just tack it or do a good bead?
@SwankyCatProductions
@SwankyCatProductions 3 жыл бұрын
I may have gone tighter than I should have...it was hard to tell and I worry to much about that stuff. No issues at since though so it must have been ok. As for the weld, I tacked it on both sides just to make sure it didn't walk around at all. Then did 4 good beads, one on each side of both legs. No issues yet and I've even been doing some carving.

@@SwankyCatProductions perfect thanks. Dumb question, but did you do all the welding with the sled on the ground level with the A arm and everything in place (nothing removed) or?
@SwankyCatProductions
@SwankyCatProductions 3 жыл бұрын
I thought I'd have to take it off at first but decided not too. I un hooked my battery and just did a sniff test for fuel leaks. Welded it on the sled, with the skis on flat ground with no issues. Would be a good idea to have some sort of barrier between the sparks and sled I suppose.
