I think the reason of why older smash bros character have the same move sets is because Sakurai considers them as fighting game characters and doesn't want to change them too much.

Honestly I feel like Simon needs to be fixed, I get he and richter are supposed to be echos but honestly I feel like Simon doesn’t feel like Simon it feels like Simon is wearing a richter skin. Some things I would change is: Down tilt- he could never do the slide make it like a crouching whip attack Up Special- have it be a whip grapple like byleth since that is something he can do in SC4 obviously I had some more ideas with this to make it more unique but I don’t wanna make this to long. Final smash- literally Simon cannot do grand cross in the main games, I personally think they should have made it his hype attack from judgment or something similar but seriously that’s just lazy.

About time I've seen a video about this! I'd be so happy if the next Smash re-worked all the characters moves, even if it means a much smaller roster than Ultimate has. Veteran characters deserve updated moves to better reflect the vast amount of games they're in, and many characters have virtually had the same movesets for DECADES now. Maybe they could even give every character more moves (like aerial Smash attacks) so characters have even MORE variety!

This reminds me of my old content, humble beginnings with simple editing. I 100% definitely know that you'll get better and better and make way better content then you are know. Earned a sub.

6:10 Honestly it make sense to have his abilities be based around the Poltergust(most likely the G-00 model). His Down B would be Burst where you can push people away like Mario's F.L.U.D.D.(But with less distance), Up B would probably be the same, Neutral's the vacuum that just brings opponents closer(you can't damage them though), and his Final Smash would stay the same.

10 outta 10 great video I think the only way for this to happen if a new team takes over Super Smash Bros as lets be honest if Sora Limited can't get their CPU's to work I think updating movesets might be an impossible task at this point Sora Limited aka Sakurai and his team has proven they can't even make proper Single Player modes like Adventure modes so sadly the only way for this to happen is if HAL or MercySteam to work on the next Super Smash then I can see this possible. In general, the earlier a character was added to Smash, the less series material there was to pull from to inspire a moveset (95% of Pit's mechanical complexity has been experienced in games Sakurai directed, not his original 8-bit duology; Star Fox characters had never been active out of their vehicles during gameplay until after Melee was developed), the less confident and experienced the Smash team was with being able to depict unusual movesets (in Smash 64 three characters have a B move that's just "strong melee hit" - Jigglypuff, Captain Falcon, and Donkey Kong - everyone else has a projectile. Only two characters have non-recovery moves on their Up+B - Jigglypuff and Yoshi, with Ness's being a strangely technical recovery and a projectile. Most characters' Down+B are area of effect "get off me" tools - bombs, whirlwinds, earthquakes, shields, lightning bolt), and so on. Captain Falcon's moveset was mostly a result of him being an easy character to rig to the existing generic muscle guy polygons from Dragon King, then Ganondorf's moveset in Melee was the result of HIS model being easy to slap onto Captain Falcon's rig. With more time to cook, we probably would have wound up with Captain Falcon actually USING that gun holstered on his hip like Fox does instead of the iconic Falcon Punch, and with Ganondorf's moveset being edited more from Captain Falcon's into something comprehensive and actually relating to his character. Most characters introduced in Brawl and later "feel" like themselves perfectly fine.

Some things are good to allright but i dont see a quick up/down tilt with mario changing his entire outfit, becouse it would be so fast it wouldnt really be visible or anoying. Neutral B of luigi would be to simialar to his grab dont see the difference. Bowser having King K. Rools up B would be kinda allright, if implimented right. Toatally with you on the toad idea. I wasnt buyed on the yoshi part until helicopter yoshi, it might be good or i just like the idea. You also want dk to fail by taking away side B it seems. Didnt thought i would make such a long text, i am german incase many words are written wrong.

BrawlFan1 and The Duke of Dorks have done their takes on changing some of the Smash Bros characters movesets. I especially strongly agree with Duke on that Diddy Kong should use both of his coconut guns and used them in more of his attacks instead of just being his neutral B.

bowsers up-b is a refrence to the koopalings going in their shell & moving when you hit them i think itd be p stupid to make it a clown car when the koopalings always have one in smash warios side-b is a refrence to his iconic warioware bike(& hes considered a warioware character in smash) so i dont think itd make sense to change it donkey kongs final smash is a refrence to donkey kong jungle beat(the best dk game), donkey kong country returns & donkey kong tropical freeze, i think itd be weird to change it from an iconic multi-game refrence to a single appearance

For some like Mario, if they change the moveset for some one like Mario, the fans would have Nintendo's head. For fighters like Dark Samus, yes it would be good if they change their move sets.

In my opinion, Nintendo if they make a new console and choose to import Ultimate for the switch (IMO that's the best option) they should upgrade character movesets like Mario, Ganondorf, Donkey Kong and Sonic (the biggest musts) and maybe add more stuff to characters like Luigi and others and basically keep adding onto Smash Ultimate. Of course they can also add more stages, Mii costumes, a couple of DLC characters and some music soundtracks and spirits as well.

Your video editing is really good and your ideas/analysis are on point, but your commentary is very "dry" in tone. I wouldn't say that you should be inauthentic and "wacky" like mainstream e-celebs commonly are, but I think you should try to tap into how excited you _feel_ about your ideas and let that shine when you talk to us on your mic.

Wtf is it with everyone obsessing over replacing movesets with moves from the newer games? We don't need Mario to use his power-ups for his moves, Cappy is completely fine as a change, I welcome that but the rest of his moveset doesn't need to be changed, there's a reason why he barely got changes to begin with. And Luigi getting a full Luigi's Mansion moveset is stupid as he is literally a copy of Mario that was developed into his own character so changing what he is in Smash to that degree undermines who Luigi is, just give him the ability to blow or suck up enemies and items with the Polturgust for his grabs to repersent all the Luigi's Mansion games and your good. DK doesn't need anything changed execpt for him having the ability to roll certain items when he gets them like barrels to reference the og DK or even do the same to allies in team battles like we see in the Donkey Kong Country games. You get the idea, the characters that deserve a moveset change are Sonic (obviously, though I'd say just combine the 2 spindashes into 1 move and have him do a small boost like Banjo's wounde-ring but faster, weaker and no invincibility and the Sonic Eagle for forward air), Ganondorf (change his up b to his float from OoT and his neutral b a slow purple energy ball that acts like his attack also from OoT) and all the echo/clone characters execpt for Ken and 1 of the Links (otherwise just have them as a costume alt that gives them a twist to moves like Daisy pulling out a Shyguy instead of Toad and sports balls instead of turnips).

Peach should be the worst character in Smash 6. That's my wish

Your not really considering game balance with some of these moves, because yea, at first, it wouldnt make sence for yoshi to have eggs bound to his up special until you take the time to realise that yoshi didnt need a recovory, and by giving yoshi whats essentially snake's up special, you could ruin the balance and counter play of yoshi. Also as a DK main, side special is a very important tool for DK simce it basically gives him a free stun, a spike, and a good way to break sheild, and replacing it with a mediocor at best projectile would make his gameplan worse. D.K. also is balanced with having a crappy revory since ot has so many ways to kill at an early percent. Mario should probably stay un-touched or atleast leave a gimmick out of his kit because mario is quite literally your introduction to smash bros, so having mario have a crazy and wild gimmick with random powerups would literally ruin the point of mario's entire existence while also removing an amazing ranged option for mario. Link was reworked in ultimatebso that his bomb worked more like tears of the kingdom while keeping younglink identical to the older link, but just having one link reference two games would be worthless and just homogonize reg link into a similar vein as doctor mario or toon link where they are refrencing only 1 game. Finally, with wario, having his neutral B and his side B be a move that advances the player forward would literally be the exact same thing that you complained about with sonic, but both moves would have a diferent coat of paint.
