Thanks, Dany! It's a shame that they may never actually fix it for future editions. Because people who buy these kinds of books tend to not want them to be damaged, some will buy another copy just to take the replicas off. The problem is minor enough that WB can never adress it, and they would still make money with it. Thank you for experimenting with your own copy, it was very helpful.

I can see the reason why the items are attached. I ran across a similar book where a lot of items were removable and missing. It seemed like the items either fell out or people were taking them and then that leaves the book pretty much as defective and unsellable. It would be nice to have the envelope method but have the envelope sealed and the book itself wrapped to prevent loos or theft

Honestly I went down the easy route and bought a bashed up second hand copy.. took the pages out of that one.. what gets me more is that people take these pages out then sell them on Ebay ! Do prefer your tidy approach to the glued on end bit... ps the mini Marauders map in this book is by far one of my favourite props. Its so versatile in photos.. also the Weasley catalog ... all round fabulous book.

I went thru this process also and took out all the props. I fixed the end parts of pages etc with markers but that ink pad might have worked for some parts. It is unfortunate that they were glued in but sadly done to avoid stealing mostly.

There are 2 suggestions from me 1. You can use a teflon hair straightener to melt the glue ( it's easier to control the area that you are heating up) 2. Use a blunt knife to remove the glue. You wil reduce the risk of cutting into the paper! That is one cool book. I will see if I can find it anywhere. Thanks for the information on that!

Or heat a blunt knife over a tealight to help melt the glue a little without it getting too runny?

Hi, im wondering which edition is the latest one? Since Ive seen a Red and a Blue one with Harry on the Cover and Ive seen a third one with multiple scenes from the movies. I want to get the latest edition. Can someone help me.confirm this?
