Fixing Up A New Isuzu Trooper

In this video I fix up the new 1988 Isuzu trooper I got and show you how I did it all. This is a bit of a long video but it starts off sort of slow and gets faster as the video goes on. Lots of good information and steps in it. Next video will be the first drive because unfortunately I don’t have any good gas to put in the thing so I’m waiting till I can get that and then we’ll drive it.

Trooper is looking great. Love my 1986. If your gas tank doesn’t hold up, I used a brand new tank for an 80’s era Jeep CJ. Practically bolted right up to the trooper. Keep up the good work.

Wow! I wish I knew that before I bought a rust free tank a while ago. Totally would have tried that but that’s great to know for future projects

I would guess the parking brakes and fuel tank are common issues. I bought a 1989 out of the TN mountains, so I had a little rust, but nothing like yours. Me parking brakes turned out to be the two cables were both frozen up, so I bought new ones and fixed that issue. The tank is next and the video gave me a lot of first hand info. Thanks a lot.

Yeah your welcome and yeah mine ended up being rusted out in the back which I wasn’t expecting but it’s got a lot of miles and from New Hampshire so it saw a lot of salt.

Sorry, but copper tubing is not allowed for brake lines.

I mean maybe your from a place where it’s different which is interesting but copper plated brake lines are the best around here. They don’t rust so it’s amazing.
