In this video, I will show you step-by-step how to repaint an American girl doll face. This tutorial includes feather eyebrows, shadow eyelashes, lip and cheek color on a TLC Truly Me #24 doll. I use acrylic paint and blush/lip stain for my repaints. Enjoy!

The lip gloss with turn gooey on your doll, also try drawing lashes and brows on paper before painting your doll, it will help you

JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW: Never wipe nail polish remover on your dolls eyebrows UNLESS you wish to remove them, from experiences lol...

also, pure acetone works much better just wash the dolls face afterwards and be careful since it dries out your hands.

She looks amazing! I have a #24, and I did give her custom eye lashes with washable crayola markers. I love what you did with her eye brows! My girl has a Nellie wig and you can't see her eye brows, otherwise I would probably try something similar. Thanks for sharing! You did a great job on her. She looks gorgeous, especially in that cute outfit at the end.

for the lashes you need a very very fine brush to make the strokes and thinned acrylic paint

Has anyone tried to spray the face first with a sealant such as Mr. Clear flat and then use chalk pastels to shade, water color pencils for detailing, in addition to the acrylic paints? Spraying the face with sealant in layers until the custom makeover is done.

The eyebrows thing is tricky. Mine are rarely identical but kids don't care. They like it to be cute and pretty.

I agree, I often watch repaints, I wanted to start doing them so I watch for info and to see techniques but this was totally awful!

When you use the blush on a doll, do you have to seal it? Or can the blush stay on the doll just fine

instead of makeup, which wipes off easily, I use chalk pastels, and watercolor paints. that way you don't have to seal it

@@juliecrowther9193 for the ink marks, remove it with acetone fo you didnt know but for the chalk pastels I use generic ones.

@@averycatherine8962 ink may need benzoyl peroxide acne cream.put it on the stain, let dry a bit, cover with plastic wrap. Leave for a day or two
