This is an intro for a series of videos I have on the way. I bartered some work for this 1997 Ford F150 knowing it has some issues. I'm going to document the process of me getting it back in good shape.

Jon, it is funny you ask how the roof of a truck gets stains? If you smoke in the truck the smoke goes up. But we don't think of all the touching we do that leaves finger dirt and grime behind that the smoke and road dust attaches to the roof, headliner windows and the upholstery. As a kid that old time smell versus the new car smell was something we did not notice. But would love to know how to get the smell out of the car

It sort of reminds me of a plant that I used to work in that still had the smoking section in the canteens. The non smoking section was all clean and smelled good. The smoking section was yellow and brown. It was hilarious.

I just found your channel from the concrete slab you poured with bags and then I ran into this video. I will definitely be watching this series as you go along, because I am looking for a truck from this exact year and series! I don’t have the budget for it yet, but once I do I am going to get one of em!

I did a lot of research online and from what I read the 4.6 with the 4 speed transmission is a really reliable combo. So far everything has been pretty easy to work on and parts aren't to bad either. I have a lot more coming. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment!

Thank you for the recommendation. I don’t know how to do that but I’m going to get with my wife and hopefully get it figured out today. I appreciate it.

How awesome that you have a series on the works. Can't wait to see the rest of them. Why don't you check a local junk yard to see if they have parts for the truck. That way you have original used parts to replace the light control panel. Congrats on reaching 2k subscribers. Glad the channel is growing.

I should be posting another sometime today, Luckily I ended up finding quite a few of the parts affordable on ebay. That's a great idea about the junkyard, I will definitely be checking them out as well. Thank you! Hopefully it keeps growing and the community gets use out of my content.

Trucks from that year group are better than new trucks.

Since I've started to fix this up I can see that. For 25 years old it has surely held up pretty well. My truck is a 2016 f250 gas and I hope it holds up as well as this after 25 years. This thing has all metal where newer trucks are all plastic. And doesn't get to bad of gas mileage either. Thanks for checking out my video and taking the time to comment.
