Fix Network Connection Problems - Finding & Correcting Device Driver Issues. If your computer is reporting that you do not have any internet access connection methods, you may have device driver issues with your hardware. This video explains how find troubled devices and methods to locate the software it needs to install and correct the problem. This technique works on all brands of computers and hardware and is not only for the Acer aspire as shown in this video.

I love how you went slow and explained each step. My wifi was disabled. The wifi button or fn + wifi button were working. But following the steps you showed, I was able to enable my wireless adapter again. I had even tried previously, going to change adapter setting from the Control Panel. It did not work. I know this video is old, but it was so helpful & I really appreciate it!

Thank you GuruBrew, my son built his first gaming PC with windows 7 and ever since he powered it up it would not register that it was plugged into the cable modem. I watched this video after dancing around it thinking that it was going to have all the misinformation all the others had for this situation. but I was wrong, after I followed your steps I loaded the missing driver from the mother board maker and then installed it. I am happy to say after 3 minutes he is up and running on the internet and enjoying the bragging rights of building his first computer. Again, Thank you Sir!

I had the exact same problems after replacing a Hard drive on a ASUS laptop. After using my Recovery discs, everything worked, except for Ethernet and Wifi. I was searching the internet for drivers when I ended up on your video. Thanks for the video saved me a lot of time.

Thanks, Steve. The drivers I needed were for a Dell Inspiron One 2020. So, I went to the official Dell website, searched their driver page for that model, and got the files I needed. Initially, when I clicked "Update Driver", I couldn't understand why the computer wasn't finding the files I'd downloaded. But soon discovered I just needed to double click the drivers to fix the issue.

Ok so I have this problem with this laptop. It's a year old and it's never given me any problems, until now. The problem is that the wifi will work for like a minute, and then stops working. It reads the wifi and shows I'm connected, but won't load up any websites. I know the wifi isn't the problem because I'm using wifi on my phone just fine. What's the solution? Thanks

Sounds like a software problem. Have you checked the log files for errors? I made a video of that subject if you need help with that.

GuruBrew Ok so I just checked out the video. Under system, I seem to have a whole group of warnings. The source says AFD and the event ID is 16002

GuruBrew I don't have any errors/warnings under setup, and I only have a few under application. But I have the most warnings under system, could this be the problem?

Alexis Mendez By any chance are you using Norton security Protection? If so, try disabling it and any other firewall protection you may have other than Windows built in firewall and reboot to see if that corrects the problem. Sounds like a DNS lookup problem to me and possible multiple anti virus/firewall protection products installed fighting to be king. Steve

Thank you for this video. I had a lap top that went down on me 2 years ago. Best buy told me it was too old to fix because of Windows Xp. I tried your advice and downloaded the drivers for my Wifi and now the laptop is up and working again. I am very happy!!! I had to buy another laptop 2 years ago, Now I can take my old one to work and use it to research stuff.. Thanks!!

Thank you soooo much! It works people, I literarly tried everything for days and I was constantly losing wifi connection. I have Asus and Windows 10 and it worked, it probably had the wrong driver instaled. When my connection is poor I still have internet, it doesn't just turn off and make my chrome go crazy. This advice is amazing and it worked! I am relatively low-tech, but I with this video I was able to (a) diagnose on my computer that the reason I had no internet access was that there was a problem with the drivers; (b) on a different computer go to the Dell website, locate, and download the needed drivers on a flash drive; (c) upload the drivers feom the flash drive on my computer with the access problems; and (d) open the drivers and get immediate re-acces to the Internet. Since the loss of Internet access came out of the blue with no warning, I am saving this GuruBrew's link in my bookmarks!

Thanks for your video. I did not have "Other Devices" but I do have "Network Adapters" but there are no disconnections shown. Going to try to download updated drivers and see if it works.
