For some reason, Blitzø’s rant about how Stolas would “pretend to care about him and comment on his photos and _laugh_ at his jokes-“ really stood out to me. The way he said _laugh_ made it sound like he finds the idea of someone actually finding him funny absolutely outlandish. Like no one, but _no one_ else _ever_ laughs at his jokes, there’s no way this guy actually finds him amusing, let alone _charming._ Like Fizz said, (albeit sarcastically) that’s gotta mean it’s all just a serious load. Not only is Blitzø’s fear of abandonment so prevalent that he’s just about forcing himself to believe that Stolas only wants sex from him in order to avoid getting attached so him leaving won’t hurt as much, but his self hatred is so strong that it blinds him to Stolas’ affection for him. Applause to my man Brandon for spectacular voice acting.

Yet Stolas is the only one who earnest laughs at his jokes. Even as a child when he didn’t even know him he laughed. Then at the studio when Blitzø was seemingly failing Stolas was giggling to his jokes. Stolas truly cares Blitzø just has blocks that he can’t see it. It’s so upsetting!

Now that they're on better terms and friends again, probably stings on some level for him that while he found his ideal partner and is the happiest he's ever been because of Ozzy, he sees Blitzo has the CHANCE for the same, and is unable to even comprehend it, let alone reach for it. His best friend is only functioning because he's standing on a shaky house of cards with no one more aware than Blitzo that it will fall. Not might. Will.

I think the difference is that Blitz has a massive amount of guilt. He is the one who caused the fire, and he barely believes that it was an accident himself. Fizz was the victim in the incident, while Blitz hurt 3 people. He's afraid to hurt more people, whereas Fizz isn't guilty of hurting anyone.
