I've always thought that US deserved the Civic Type R more than us Europeans (except UK). Y'all guys have made more in 3 years with the 1st officially sold Type R ever thant us in more than 2 decades. US is the paradise of tuning. I wish we had this enthusiasm here (France). Politics made all their possible to destroy the combustion engine market by taxing a lot + a lack of passion that we didn't have in 1990s/2000s until 2015 I'd say. Anyway, keep up the good work guys

For anyone who doesn’t know this already. This car will easily hit 11s as it sits. There’s a Huge BUT you can’t put drag wheel/tire on the car because of the massive brakes the type r has. They’re little on a tire that will never get their 60fts down to 1.6s.

@Harold Finch yeah but you can't tell the "muscle heads" that without being shot down and called a liar lol. They would never believe a Civic can keep up and out maneuver their precious hellcat. At 707 horsepower, the hellcat should be almost breaking 10s. Goes to show how heavy and bloated they really are.

@Harold Finch ok you're full of horseshit. with all of the modifications you're talking about a hellcat can do 10s all day. keep in mind that a 1 second difference is huge in a quarter mile race and 2 seconds difference is a whole other league.

@Harold Finch v8's are not ineffective or insufficient, they have much much greater horse power potential than any JDM car. there is so much you can do to give a hellcat more power while this car is pretty tapped out from the factory, the bigger the turbo the more boost delay you have and that's amplified on 4 bangers because they don't have nearly as much exhaust pressure as a V8.

My brother already got one of these engines from one that was totaled out in the rear end I believe he said it's called a c 2.0 and it's funny looking is totally different looking from anything else he's putting it into the stock body of a 2010 Honda Civic hatchback

That was a fine launch. The wheels have to spin a bit to keep the revs up and prevent the engine from bogging down

These engines are made to rev high they just don’t need to anymore but someone will soon tune this to it rev to 9000 the TCR car revs heaps high and its a k20c , Beast !

Right now there is not many performance parts for these cars besides some basic bolt ons. And sadly they are direct injected engines and so far nobody has made different size injectors yet or bigger camshafts

Brad Green we don’t need different size injectors, just port. I know for a fact that port injection is being done because I’ve seen it. It’s a fairly simple setup.

PR1NCETD0T you VQ guys are funny. The 370z is inferior in every way to the type r. I know a guy trapping like 118 with just bolt ons he’ll run 11.4 on slicks but you can fit slicks with the huge brakes on the type r.
