This music video was absolutely brilliant, I loved the sound design based around her high heels. The song seems deeply personal but I have yet to figure out the deeper meaning of it. she spent so much time learning how to pole dance for this and her tour (which had to be canceled) she's INSANELY talented!

This song is very emotional and it makes a lot more sense when you listen to the whole album; FKA twigs received incessant criticism for her relationship with actor Robert Pattinson, mainly from his fans, and also, in that time, she had cancer, so she was in a very emotional and vulnerable place. You could say this song is about being desperate for someone to be there for you, because she does everything for them and she doesn't receive the same, but I'd definitely add that some parts of this song refer to the pressure she had from racists, who consistently undermined her and called her ugly. She refers to the fact that those critics waited and watched for her to ‘mess up’ in the relationship to prove that she wasn’t a good partner for him, while Pattinson didn't take his part on defending her from the public eye. 'MAGDALENE' is an amazing album and it'd be fun to see you reacting to it!

Agree with all you said but 1 point. It wasn't cancer but were horribly painful uterine fibroids which are so painful & cause such misery for so many women. I heard she was all alone after he surgery & he was nowhere to be found. Rob never spoke up for her. He only cared about his career imo. I've heard from people who went to arts school with her that she is the most loving, sweet, earth child. He did not deserve her. She is better off with someone who is her equal & imho he was not. The way the fans and press over in GB treated her was inexcusable. Many have equated it to how Megan Markle was treated except Harry stood up for his family & said see ya.

@@debbiefox6846 no one knows what goes on in people's lives. It's obvious that they loved each other very much. He proposed and Twigs said yes. Robert spoke on the Howard Stern show about the haters and how he just ignored them. He went on to say that the hate really effected Twigs. She left him. Despite all they endured he still wanted to marry her. But Twigs probably needed more support from him idk but she was insecure too. It's hard being a celebrity, it's hard being in a relationship with someone of another color because of others people's ignorance and jealously. I think the world is getting better. Look at Zendaya and Tom Holland. They seem very much like soul mates and their fans love them.

FKA twigs is so freaking talented. On her last tour she did tap dancing, pole dancing, wushu sword dancing, and contemporary/hip-hop all in one show. Her style and music are always so innovative and unique. I hope you check out more from her!

twigs had practiced pole dancing for YEARS in preparation for this mv. it goes to show how passionate she is about her work and it def shows! i’d recommend diving into her discog bc shes a true force

This song is about her past relationship with Robert Pattinson. The fans of him were upset about his relationship with fka twigs, because she was considered for his fans, as ugly, and boring. That's why at the end of the song she said "They're waiting They're watching They're watching us They're hating They're waiting And hoping I'm not enough". You should react to her album MAGDALENE. The entire album it's about her heart breaker relationship with Robert Pattinson. It's amazing

After watching Twigs on a pole I truly believe pole dancing should be an Olympic sport. I can say that as someone who failed miserably at it and knows how much strength and talent it takes to master.

Sad Day, from her latest magdeline project would be another good video to watch. Her first album LP1 had some great visuals too worth watching and listening to. She’s an all around great artist and for this song she made it with the video in mind first. She new exactly the story she wanted to tell and the scenes and imagery and cinematography she needed to capture it. And she does all her own stunts

I found out about her a short time after I discovered Abel. Her music is definitely an acquired taste and not for everyone, but she's bae low-key lol. Then I thought I was gonna have to fight Robert Pattinson for her love but they broke up unfortunately.

Magdalene is one of those albums that's almost too beautiful and painful to listen to. If you know any details about her, the album is an absolute gut-punch. It devastates me every time I listen to it.
