I thought I had a pretty good grasp of the Arpeggiator, but after watching this, I realize I probably don't use it nearly enough to have it nailed - you definitely have it nailed. Good job.

I started with FL and Reason, not so much to make beats, but to learn music. FL Studio is my weekly classroom (sometimes daily) and I share my findings here.

I agree, although many of the VST instruments I use have this function. Also, you can set the scale type to "Auto", which will play a calculated arpeggio based on the one or more keys you play as chords.

First, you make a mixer effect that has a control output, such as a formula controller, peak controller, or XY. (best if you rename it too). After that, right click on a knob, fader, or button, and choose "link to controller". Choose the new controller you made (you might have more than 1 option), and then begin tweaking the controller to see the knob/fader/button adjust to the given value. Works well with LFOs, which cycle back and forth at a chosen speed.

No doubt! Use a mixolydian or pentatonic scale for awesome effects. This is a cool way to do it, yeah? It seems to work well with pretty much any stringed instrument.

Yes! Certain VSTs have this feature (FM8, Absynth, ToxicIII, and to a less precise degree, sytrus. I would like to see that, or at least better chord/scale guessing in "auto" mode.

Yeah man, plus he can play the same pattern in any tempo!

I think one of the few ways FL studio could get better at this point is if they included a Piano Roll for the arp so that you could sequence a riff in instead of just having to use the preset ascending/descending scales.. then you could lock & transpose like with a keyboard workstation...

hmm Im not sure exactly what you did when you paused it and started it back up with all those other patterns on the playlist. How did you make those other patterns to switch up the arpeggio?

No. Justin. I dont know who it is.

They plug right into FL Studio as a channel. VST compat. ToxicIII, FM8 (real quality), and sytrus, of course, but sytrus isn't very "precise" with semitones.
@AcePincter16 жыл бұрын
Yep. It's because I got such mad beatboxing skills. And because I drink a lot of coffee and not enough water.
@d3p3ch3mod316 жыл бұрын
oh yeah i forgot about toxic 3... they really need to give the sytrus envelopes a piano roll too instead of just stairs lol

How did you create FL Keys? First part of the damn video, and you used, what seems to be, a shortcut key. Good job.

Hey, I'm trying to record my vocals as I listen to my beat. Is this impossible in FL studio? I don't want to record both, I just want to record my voice.
