Random mudulators are amazing, had to polish the previous one i uploaded because i think this is one of the most unique tutorial i've recorded.

The Input and Output mappings in XYZ do exactly the same thing, no? They're just in series to provide some additional tweaks, like setting a value range in the input mapping and then further editing the mapping within this range with the output mapping. So in essence, everything you can do by using input+output mapping you can also do with just using either one

Just looked into the manual. The only difference between them is this: "The input mapping is applied before the speed or smoothing parameters." quote from the manual.

that is true, the additional tweak provided by the output mapping is always nice for like an overall .... i don't even know how to call it but it's more like mastering after mixing and sound designing for me xD you can very much just mangle the input mapping and call it a day

Hey, nice to hear from you TOavn, it has been a while. And I see you are uploading some really high quality content. Congratulations on this ! I learned today that I can also use XYZ controller to make formulas in patcher instead of just Fruity Formula Controller. It is nice but when you want a custom curve it can become really tricky ^^'

heyy! it's been a while indeed, I've been grinding non-stop xD Fruity Formula isn't the most user friendly tool to use so that's part of the reason why i made this but yeah, I'm glad you learned something out of this :)

@@toavnwub Yeah I heard some top notch music with complex design, loud & clean mixdown from you. This is impressive 💪🏾 I also continued, I'm trying a bit less hard on technical stuff and try to improve my music now. I also have less time for music production but I'm still as productive as before 😁 Yeah FFC is nice only for maths nerds like me 😆

for the first section, wouldn't it be easier just to mess with the three outputs of the first xyz controller so you technically have three different values outputting which can then be assigned to three different parameters in a synth or effect?

Yep and yep you're right! The method i showed was a little too overkill but in exchange you get a more complex modulation signal, but what you mentioned is definitely an option :D

loved this tutorial, but I think I got a bit too crazy because now that I'm supposed to render my sample with the modulators in patcher, the rendered version sounds COMPLETELY different. In my daw the sound is smooth and punchy, in the wav file i can barely hear anything. Would you please help me out? Is there a way to record directly from the playlist so I get the original sound? Sorry for the rant.
