Great review mate. I remember whacking these out on the job site on a miserable Thursday. The hot saltyness was epic, especially as everyone else was eating cheese sarnies. As you say, not an everyday eat, but defo a month a month treat for the lunch box.

I toast the bun and put the burger in the ninja on air crisp 240c for 2-3 min For £1.25 chuck in a few fries , it's although not very healthy but very affordable and tasty

100% British and Irish Beef which is 83% beef which makes up 42% of this entire burger minus the lettuce which is 0% of image shown. Glad it's easy to understand packaging.😋

These are handy to have in for a quick snack. I’ll quite often pad it out by sticking a bit of lettuce, onion and gherkin on it.

I do these occasionally for my teenage son, i slice up some gherkins and put in extra cheese. He loves them with some chips.

Rustlers burgers are decent as long as you toast the buns. The people that have a pop at them have usually never had one. Great if you want a quick burger but don't want to mess about making a proper burger.

I really like your channel. I love rusler burgers. Quarter pounders are on offer at tesco. I put the bread under the grill a min each side ketchup on my bread with fried onions.

Im not a massive burger fan but rustlers have always been pallitable,handy in emergencies i dont mind the rib one now and again ie twice a year lol keep up the brilliant work more driving about vids please.

Rusted burgers are good but there are so many chemicals in them, I prefer a good home made burger now

I think they were originally advertised as a post-pub snack. Something you could 'cook' whilst drunk, without the risk of burning the house down!

Great review Gaz and like you said there ok for a quick snack plus I don’t think anyone really does a better one than them for the price the only real way to improve them is to put some onion on and some extra mustard to make them a little bit healthier if there’s such a thing with them 👏👏👍👍

Very good review. I buy the Rustlers quarter pounder currently on offer in Tesco for £1.50 (usually £2.25) . It has a larger bun with sesame seeds and a slightly larger patty. The sauce that comes with isn't as nice as the sauce in your review and I dump it and use burger relish instead. Two of them with a mug of strong tea and I'm a happy man. Thanks again!

Cant beat them Rustlers beef burgers! They are my staple diet of choice as i have at least two of them on a daily basis and im okay.!? 🙈 The chicken ones are disgusting though as you quite rightly say. The pork rib ones are good too.!! Just stay away from the chicken ones.! 😂😂

Definitely a quick & easy way to fill a gap. Had them in the past, though shouldn't be a regular occurrence. Another top review 👍

Hi Gareth, they are what they are. A quick snack. Have to say,and I've never noticed before, that cheese was so thin,it very nearly " one sided "😅 But fills a hole. That and they do have a wide range to pick from😊So better than some. Take care. And as Shaw Taylor used to say on Police5 " keep 'em peeled " we need the bargains 😊

The lettuce probably comes in the "serving suggestion". You know, just like when the "serving suggestion" is......... ON A PLATE 😊 You said perhaps once a year. I've tried one so 'once a lifetime' was enough

Rustlers are actually not too bad if you grill the meat and bun instead of microwaving, actually tastes better than a mcdonalds if you grill it.

They are good for a late night snack when you get the Munchies. Just add a few extras. Also I toast the bun separate in the the toaster

Ironically the sauces that you get with those cheap burgers are always really good!!

I love a gourmet meal, dinner for the family usually involves me going straight into the kitchen after work for 2 hours to make dinner which is usually bangin; but for something cheap and easy for dinner at work - a Rustlers will do me a few days a week...same with a pot noodle.

When I was stationed in Belgium, the canteen did burgers like this. They were pretty gopping and the main thing I remember is the taste of the relish... Minced lips and ar$eholes.

I don't eat these often but when I do I add red onion, lettuce, sliced tomato and sliced gerkins oh and more cheese. Just makes it a better burger.

Tbh, I’ve had a few over the years for a quick snack and have to say I enjoyed it - plus NO stomach after effects 💩! However, I’m always in trouble after a McDonalds, which I’ve not had now for about 8 years!

Oh Gareth we have been putting the whole bun in the microwave! Didn't occur to me to toast the bun, we have been putting the cheese in then put the whole thing in! The bun is so hot underneath you cant hold it!! Thanks for showing us how it should be done :)

I have these about once a month if its been a long day at work and I really can't be bothered cooking. Nice with a box of Fries To Go, and you have your tea ready in 5 minutes.

On the very rare occasion I’ve eaten one of these. I always feel guilty and say I shouldn’t have eaten that.

I used to get those often and add fresh raw onion to improve the texture. And sometimes fresh tomato and mayonnaise.

I’ve had Rustlers in the past when I literally can not be bothered to cook anything! Ok very now and again, like you Gaz, I have been known to take one to work if I’m up against time. Off to Morrisons when I get back tonight I might pick one up and try 🍔 ….. Smithy

Hi, I've not commented for a while, but I'm still watching the videos 😊. Just watched the Haven video, and knowing that you do quite a few, out and abouts in your car and on foot, I had an idea. I think you need a go pro camera for your outside videos. You can attach to a cap with a mount, or you can now get a small body cam that is really easy to attach to a shirt breast pocket. That way, you won't video the people but only the food.....I really like the travelling around videos for different butchers and prices, very different from what others are doing on KZfaq. Just an idea for moving forward. All the best 🙂

My colleagues are always eating these, I'd rather stick to my homemade dinners but they dont look too bad for an occasional emergency meal 😅

I just had The Big Cheese one. I made sure the buns were extra crispy in the toaster, and I added some extra mature grated cheese with Hienz Curry Tomatoe sauce amongst the Rustlers sauce that comes with it. I also added a sprinkle of Schwartz Onion flavouring. I thought it was absolutely delicious. The trick with making these products shine is to experiment a little with what you can find in the kitchen. I still think these burgers are decent barebones considering the price, but they can honestly surprise you with how tasty they are when you add a few basic ingredients that you can find in your kitchen.

Gaz eats the Rustlers stuff so we don't have to ! 🤮

Dont mind a Rustler burger but i dont use that cheese,i put a couple of mature cheese slices on it instead.I put the burger in the air fryer for about 8 mins.Not bad at all.

Surely the burger itself weighs 42% of the 173 grams; the rest of the weight is in the bun, the cheese slice and the tomato sauce! This also gets sold by Tesco.

I gotta say ..I love a rustlers burger , yeah I said it ...tho I do add to it , be it jalapenos or spicy sauce ...they go down a treat , especially the double burger..p.s try their american pancakes .. absolutely divine

iv had these when im on my home and feeling hungry ill pick one up (im sure my local co-op charges around £2 , ill look when i next go in) and i always feel wrong after eating one so much so i started getting a ginsters peppered steak slice instead , they are probs just as bad but taste better and as for the rustlers sauce i bin that esp the orange looking one lol.

Great for a quick snack, if cooked correctly as good as the high street brands, toast your buns so they're not all soggy. They're not bad in a pinch, what do you expect for the price.

Loved the double decker burgers but stopped buying them when the price rose above £1.50 . Todays price around £3.00

I think it is a rebranding. They have a new mini burger for an rrp of £1. I saw it in Sainsburys the other day. Its about the size of a McDonald's hamburger

Not too bad a price in this day and age although I did get a frozen Pepperoni pizza from Aldi for just 90 pence earlier on today (yes, they've gone up as well!!!) 😭

Not bad for the money I suppose. I do like Aldi's thin burgers (pack of 6) They are quite similar to the pattie in this one.

I was a a night driver on the taxi 's and at the end of a shift great with a can.

I think the 42% refers to the burger portion in relation to the bun, cheese and relish. That's where the other 58% went.

I don't mind a microwave burger but I tend to stick a processed cheese slice in it that doesn't come with the product. The cheese provided is about as thick as the toilet paper in work

I used to eat these once a week on a night shift years back very good for £1 when they were on offer , I would not pay £2 for it though as i can buy 4 beef burgers frozen and fry them up myself for that money

I quite like a rustlers, as long as it’s done right , toasted bun etc.

These are OK as a light snack.. though you can add a salad.. chips etc to bolster the meal etc.. or baked beans with some HP sauce... DO make sure when you buy em to buy the ones with LONGEST 'USE BY' dates on em.. We have been caught out before now.. !

The pricing is all over the place but sainsbury sell them for £1 which you can't argue with but morrisons is like £2.20 or something silly. tesco/asda is like £1.25/£1.50
