20:20 a pair of KLWX locomotives hauling for UP. 9530 has been seen across the Midwest. Update: 8520 is a former NS Dash 9 locomotive which was a trial by the Altoona Shops to update the Dash 9s without removing the cab and just updating the internals. Lots of problems with the unit, but sold onto KLWX in 2020. Likely has been repowered and has been tested on the CN and UP.

Who would have thought that the lass class 1 to run engines in Conrail paint would be IC/CN. 2466 was LMS 739. Conrail paint but LMS lettering instead of Conrail. It was a deal to share them between CR and CN, CN would use them part of the year and CR the rest. I think there were 60 total in two orders, the last 20 had full Conrail lettering. At the split CN got ten and assigned them to the IC. Green car about 17:20 - Berlin Mills Railway

While I have seen previous comments regarding open boxcar doors, is it possible one reason they are open is to let air circulate inside these cars so they do not become saunas on their trip, provided they are empty?
