There is no better action than a pair of stick shift street cars battling it out down a drag strip if you ask us, and these two Camaro’s are no exception. This pair of silver arrows go by the team name “MOORE HP”, which certainly checks out! While they have relatively “cookie cutter” power plants, these two Camaro’s are both one of a kind beauties and we can’t get enough. Watching them pop, shift, and bang down the track is exhilarating and each pass leaves us wanting more! This stick shift chevy duo was our favorite pair from Streetcar Takeover Atlanta.

@Optimus Slime yeah most of the popular drag cars out there r automatics equipped with what they call automatic shifters where the driver does the shifting. They just pull on a lever up shifting down the drag strip

@@MooreHP that red JDM wasn't the "Red Demon" car was it?, I'd like to see you go up against the "Grub Worm" 4th gen stick shift LT1 Camaro he holds the world record stick shift for the LT1 both cars have Tick Performance on board as well and both cars run about the same the only difference is yours is LS and his is LT1 Gen1 if both of you grab each gear just right and run a 7 second pass that would be a race for the books if both of you hit a good light too it should be sidexside the whole 1/4 mile I think it would be pretty sick to see that red JDM go up against the "Red Demon" if it wasn't him at that race because Kyle said that guy had a 2g and I think the other red JDM the Red Demon has a 4g in it and that would be an awesome race as well I'm glad you won this race and now got the LS stick shift record but I would still have hung my head held high if you did drive around you because that car has carbon doors,hood, and probably deck lid to match and it's completely gutted and AWD with slicks in the front and back but congrats maybe one day all the fast stick shift cars will finally meet in one place and go at it but then you will all be running in the 6s lol

@2:50 my very first car was a 73 Nova SS 4 on the floor 350, but it was the EXACT SAME COLOR AND PATTERN as the older Camaro. Literally EXACT same color and pattern and they're so GORGEOUS in person that deep sicker with the stripes and pins on both sides of the stripes and no stripes on the roof.... I miss my Nova SO much...

Off-topic, but related to your car; it's crazy how strict the California legislature regulated cars in California in the late 60s and through the 70s. I mean, they really and truly did all they could to not allow stick-shift cars. 70s cars were underwhelming to begin with power wise, but there when I was looking for old cars in the later 80s to buy when I first started driving, EVERYTHING was automatic. Our Trans AMs and Formula Firebirds were all Oldsmobile 403s in 1977/1978 (and in those years you couldn't buy the 400 in California--and then in 1979 those were nationwide unless you bought the T/A 400). So, even the badge muscle cars like your Nova, or the 360 Darts or Dusters were ALL automatics. That being said--awesome that your colors were the same as the '69. I really liked its color scheme!

Great times for clutch cars, that T-56 is a legend too. Hot, cold it always shifts smooth, I've rebuilt mine 5 years ago with some Dodge Viper T-56 parts now I can bang in gears all day without worry.

I love this....I ran 69 340 4sp..dart..high 10s..when you have a co2 shifting an automatic for you and all you have to do is go for a ride..to me it takes the ability out of the driver...I would love to see more stick drag racing ...its more fun to me and it involves the driver to use all his limbs...
