Dunkirk NewYork Anytime. Because of the flames coming out with the exhaust, there might had been something wrong with the exhaust system, or the turbo charger blew out, or maybe it might been something else. I hope to see something like that sometime.
@BenjaminEsposti
@BenjaminEsposti 8 жыл бұрын
+ns4270railfan Probably would have been more catastrophic if the turbocharger failed :P My guess would be a fueling problem, but it's possible that the turbo bearings might be going bad, and the turbo might not be spinning as fast as it should, which would cause incomplete combustion, and hence smoke and fire out the stack.
@ns4270railfan
@ns4270railfan 8 жыл бұрын
Benjamin Esposti Yeah, it would be more catastophic if the turbo failed. If that would happen, there might be a huge fireball erupting from the stack. That would be a good sight if you get it at a decent angle.

If it was the turbo, the engine would have gone into runaway, basically feeding on it's own lubricating oil. The Turbo is fine, just excess fuel getting into the cylinders, what is unburnt exits the hot exhaust burns either black smoke, or just a constant fire.
