In 1996 in Cincinnati the games were delayed because someone drilled thru a pile when setting the posts on the nets. Michigan and BU played in the final but it looked like a lake thawing in April. Best part was watching Tim Thomas and Martin St. Louis play for UVM.

Michigan played BU in national semifinal. Michigan outshot BU like 13-1 the first 10 minutes. BU played that whole hangover season like their talent would get them by; caught up to them vs team that hadn’t won in like 30 years. Michigan-CC was a great title game. I still wonder how Miami lost that game. Up 3-1 late, and they blow the lead in the final minute. And that OT goal off the shot block. Ugh. They are cursed against Boston teams. They lost in OT in the regional final to BC the year before, in which they carrying the play in the OT.
@rubatowolf11705 жыл бұрын
@@pomerlain8924 Calmer heads prevailed as they analyzed in that final minute of regulation. They could've just peppered the goal with shots but they passed it around to get a better shot. Miami was a YOUNG team, and had failed to make the final four of their own conference tourney. The fact they were even in the NCAA tournament was questioned by many.

2019 - Buffalo (hosted by MAAC) 2020 - Detroit (hosted by Michigan State) 2021 - Pittsburgh (hosted by Robert Morris) 2022 - Boston (hosted by Hockey East) 2023 - Hopefully Glendale (hosted by Arizona State University)
@amd_hawk73185 жыл бұрын
nepean now Buffalo is going to be a great place for hockey east teams in the frozen four. If there’s a matchup like UMass vs Denver, it will be one way momentum the entire way. Detroit will suck because people don’t like traveling there and when there’s Michigan playing another Michigan team, it’s gonna suck because it’s gonna be half n’ half. Pittsburg will also suck because the only pig team there is Penn state. Boston will be great because the whole tournament is gonna be in that area having games in Manchester NH, Hartford CT, and they’re expecting to have a 8,000+ seat arena finished western mass, Worcester is there too. Glendale would be pretty cool, but we’ll have to see what happens in the next couple years because the Coyotes could move at any time. As soon as they move they’ll tear down the River Arena. So really, the only times that will be good in the near future are buffalo, Boston, and if it happens in Glendale that’ll be pretty cool. The NCAA has been giving regional games to a lot of new cities recently like Hartford and Other smaller cities with minor league arenas. Edit: y’all are right, Detroit is pretty good one too to think of it.
