Just want to share... I used to have a tailor that's just in my neighborhood in the Philippines who did alterations (cutting, resizing, patching, etc.) for me for only 2-3 dollars per item (any clothing) when I was in my 20's and heavily into thrifting. He was flexible and experimental, he never thought my instructions on what to do with my items were weird, and this was during the late 90's. Unfortunately he moved away and is retired now . I've always thought of starting a Round Two combined Gallery Dept. or Re/Done kind of business here way before but never dared...

You call it flared, old heads know they're Bell-bottoms 😆
@minoltacollector91283 жыл бұрын
nah old-heads know it as a boot cut jean or a saddleman jean, which existed long before flares. Bell bottoms are like extreme boot cuts. Like Jnco level almost.
@hadihatab31263 жыл бұрын
Minolta Collector the difference is that bell bottoms were tight in the waist, hips, and upper leg while the bottom is flared while Jncos were worn low slung with an extreme wide leg.

If your lucky enough to live in the Bay Area, go to San Francisco thrift stores. Found so many vintage flares from the 60s and 70s for guys and ladies in thrift stores. Remember that's were hippies used to live and were Levi's originated so you might be lucky like me and find great stuff.
