The danger of flash flood is people often think they have more time than they actually have.

This is near where I went to school, (Sdeh Boker). We'd sneak out during lunch break, run down into the Wadi and gaze on the rushing water where it's usually as dry as a bone. The force of the rush is incredible, not to be taken lightly.

I had experience of flash flood in Thrisooli river,Kathmandu Nepal.We just had bath & climbed up.We were seeing river fm the bank & snapping. Immediately flash flood came like a sea of tea with a deafening tone.If it came 5 minutes earlier,we all would have been memory now.We ran of,as we are not familiar with Himalayan region . Previous day,there was heavy rainfall.We never never witnessed even a flood before. Witnessing a flash flood really brought our heart to hand.So horrible as well as incredible.

Must be a wonderful thing to see a river wake up.

It happens when there is lots of rain upside at far place.. Its very destructive.. It come down as silent flood without giving hint..

What prophecies or what the hell !!!, the source of the river is on the slopes of the crater Ramon - a geological feature located at the top of Mount Negev, some 52 miles (85 km) south of the city of Beer Sheva - and It ends at the Dead Sea. The Negev desert is a dry and desolate land during the months of high summer, but in winter, the rain falls on higher ground, as the ancient Roman city of Beersheba. The rains that continue until around April can accumulate on high ground and lead to the flooding of the dry river bed below. The pattern of events is described even in the Old Testament of the Bible. Not that the river does not carry water annually, we are talking about FLOODING and that rarely occurs ... end of story.
