I'm thinking about that armor upg, and normally I'd advocate +1 armor, but in the case of mass gols, +1 veh weps adds an important break point that allows groups of 6 gols to FF mutas in stack with 2 volleys, rather than needing 13 hits. This breakpoint also persists after mutas gain +1 carapace. No matter the armor, muta stacks need 2 volleys to kill gols, and sunks kill with 4 attacks. I think for apm available players, will appreciate the stutter stepping stop micro or cycling the manual targeting between 2 control groups, and is a clear starting point before optimizing for critical mass numbers. 2 right clicks then cancel with stop, repeat. Similar to stutterstepping observers or carriers (not anti interceptor micro)

You just picked 6 goliaths as a group randomly. In this case, there is a much larger mass of them, it won't be just 6. And also, it's not like all of them fire at once at the same target, things are very chaotic. All in all, it's 13 hits instead of 12, that's all.

@@Shield_Battery But don't you see how the engagement looks in practice? The mutalisks get damaged over time and slowly worn down, and the goliaths rarely fire at the same target. The usefulness of that breakpoint is dubious at best. But since the glaive has 3 attacks, that's like 3hp saved per attack, for each armor upgrade.

@@justingagnier2871 yeah the things that impress terrans are kinda low tier lol. In SC2 they think peak micro is keeping a reaper outrunning a queen. I don't play and am probably F tier, but when I did the campaign in 98, I did this.

Jaedong's big mistake was the queens. There was no time for those, and a few extra hydras or lings could've changed the final battle.

The siege would continue - tank is the best unit in the game. Jd would lose eventually just staying on hydras and mutas

Jaedong was basically dead at that point, even if the Queen Minerals+Gas was more Hydras. Flash was able to get a free rally right to his 3rd without having to do the whole Siege/Unsiege tactic that would buy Jaedong more time to get Brooding Queens off the ground. Very interesting game from Flash.

Wow that seconds game was beautiful. Seems like JD would have benefitted greatly from some speedlings and 1 less muta. Couple of times in this flash series he has had tunnel vision and missed something key to help him out (not making mutas in that other mech game being a HUGE misplay that seemed out of flavour for JD)

Lads, I was watching closely. I figured out the early game ogre Zerg counter. Goliaths just like flash right, but add in Firebats to protect them from zerglings with on the ground. I bet that would be absolutely powerful in this type of situation!

i think turning point was when he flew his muta into flash base and got surrounded. did zero damage and mutas got destroyed. he could have easily contained flash at this point and gone into defiler. it was a good surround from flash though you can see he set that up. he knows he only has one chance to catch JD being sloppy and it worked perfectly.

That's a fallacy and you know it and my argument still stands - Vessels counter everything Zerg has so Zerg is always on timer. But I'll humor you and address your false argument anyway: Try playing Zerg seriously then say that again when you're got your win rate at 51%+ with "honest" tactics without "rushing" and "cutting" things against Terran.

First time watching flash here lately with your casts... What it seems with him is the unpredictability witb what he throws at jaedong Sometimes it doesnt work but then woth this goliath mass the hydras and queens were too late. But flash basically is trying to dictate the game where his opponent is forced to play catch-up.
