It worked. Just finished changing my brake light. Thanks! The Hyundai dealer in West Palm Beach wanted to charge $75 to change it. Doing it myself cost $5 and I still have a spare bulb.

A word of advice. For low power light bulbs ie running lights, turn signals,marker lights, you don't need to be especially careful about handling the bulbs barehanded. They don't get hot enough to damage the bulb. Halogen headlamps on the other hand do get hot enough to melt and deform the glass and destroy the bulb. Those you do have to handle the bulbs carefully by using clean gloves or a clean cloth or fresh section of paper towel. So you don't contaminate the bulb with oils from your hand/fingers.

Went to autozone bought the bulb for $7.. took me 5 mins.. I’m so tickled I was able to do by myself. Thank you!

My 2022 Hyundai Tucson was different enough that it took two people to do the same thing. You see the little silver alignment/catch pin on the light fixture in the video, well the 2022 Tucson has TWO of those pins. I had to pull while my buddy yanked the fixture from side to side, it then popped out and was a breeze to put back in. Thanks for this video, it really gave me a good hint of how to proceed!

Our friends car brake light wasn’t working with the lights on. Lights off worked but wasn’t very bright. I saw a little corrosion on one of the copper connectors. I raised it up a little and cleaned the corrosion and it started working again with the lights on. 😳👍😎Drivers side.

the black socket is the brake light, and the white is the tail light, at least in the 2017 car
