And I didn't want to take a chance and get a ticket driving with one headlight so I pulled over into a bright Shopping Center, and follow your exact directions for changing the headlight God bless you! Now I know how to change a headlight on my Hyundai Sonata.😊

I have been trying to figure this out on my own and gave up so I went on KZfaq and boom your video was the first one I saw. Very informative and well made video.

Great video! ***FOR THOSE HERE FOR THE DRIVER SIDE, THINGS ARE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT*** READ THIS! First off, you need to have small fingers to do this, and prepare to scratch your fingers as well in the process as well! Having said that, Remove the headlight housing cap by twisting it as outlined in the video (this is the same as the passenger side). For leverage purposes, use your right hand but ONLY use your pointer finger and middle finger for this. BEFORE YOU START TURNING, [INSANITY] you MUST DISCONNECT THE HARNESS FROM THE BULB FIRST! If you don't, the bulb will NOT turn as there isn't enough clearance with the harness connected! As for the turning angle, the direction of the turn is as follows: the bulb socket is facing down, and you need to turn it towards the passenger side, not quite a 6:00-3:00 range, but 4:00ish. Then just jiggle the bulb, and it should come right out. You'll then need to get that harness reconnected to the bulb obviously once you put the bulb in securely - again, something you'll need small fingers to do as there is minimal clearance!

nice to see that for the sonata changing bulbs is as easy as it used to be on older makes. good for those new to changing bulbs that you mentioned about never touching the bulb. most don't realize the oils on your skin are enough to shorten the life of the bulb. good job putting the video together, well done. FYI to owners while the left side/passenger side is easy to deal with the drivers side for me was very difficult to turn enough for the clips to clear and remove. finally got it out after about 15 minutes.

Only covers the easy side of the car, the drivers side is much harder to get to and is what most will be looking for some advice on.

When inserting the bulb back into the socket, make sure to connect the wires after this is done. Otherwise, it's a huge pain getting the bulb into the socket.

The drivers side is actually easier. i had to remove the coolant reservoir on mine to get my hand in there.

I have the same car but when I take the top off I see there’s like some metal guard keeping the bulb in place ..

FYI for anyone replacing on driver side, follow the turning method in video, but you have to unplug the bulb when it's in the socket still to get it out. After that, piece of cake

Yeah, the problem is you can't get your hand into the hole deep enough to twist the bulb out!

I have the xenon bulbs or whatever in my vehicle that I had someone else put in years ago. I know want to replace them with Led bulbs but they look different then any video I have seen and I can't figure out how to get them out. I'm actually a little nervous to try because they still work. Because I didn't replace them I'm not sure how they come out. Also I'm concerned because I have the limited edition and the bulbs actually turn when the wheels turn so I don't know if it's some kind of motor. I mean it could be a motor or it could be a ballast but I have no idea

Please correct the title: you are replacing the headlight BULB, not the whole headlight unit. When you say 'headlight" it means the complete assembly
