I was born in 1979 and this film was part of my early child hood. Life was so much simpler then... women were much more beautiful...no one needed fillers and Botox...everyone aged beautifully... Sometimes I wish I am still raising my kids in the 80's ... when we had less but we had more...

I was born in 1996, but grew up in the 90's surrounded by older parents, so listened to 80's music and older and also older films and comedies which shaped the person I am today, and I couldn't be more thankful for it, especially since now my parents are no long around! Reminds me of so many wonderful memories that I will carry with me for the rest of my life, and I will never forget. Makes me smile so much! xxx

I had the fortune of meeting Ms. Irene Cara a few decades ago and she was a very nice and down to earth person who shared a cautionary tale of how her record company stole her money and blackballed her from the music industry. The very song in this music video made millions of dollars and she didn't see any of it until after 10 years of legal battles after the song was released. Fortunately, she won her case. However, it caused this very talented artist to choose a different path than that of the pop star that she was becoming. R.I.P.

I started going to clubs at the time that this song came out, and can remember everyone cheering and heading for the dance floor when it started to play. It's still infectious and joyous all these years later.

You have always inspired me. I was born in 1979 and right before my baseball game I would listen to you for good luck. One summer I batted 1000 and I owe to your voice. I remember my mother doing the same when she was young. When we were alone in the house we used to prepare plays for her and she used to perform her own scenes to make us laugh. Thanks mom for all the great things learned from you for all the beautiful days you gave us when we were children and the days you give now to our children.

IRENE CARA deserves to be inducted into the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME🖒 What a beautiful voice she had.🙏Even after all of their passing WHITNEY HOUSTON, DONNA SUMMER, SAM COOKE were still inducted for their musical accomplishments.
