I love the Haka! I am an Australian, but I understand the deep significance of this very revered, cultural expression from our Maori friends. The Haka is one of the most special things there is.

From my experience Aussies love it when the Kiwis celebrate their culture ~ possibly because we have so little of our own. We seem to follow this rule: if New Zealand have it & it becomes famous ~ it was ALWAYS Australian! The Haka is exempt from that rule ~ it is ALL KiWi ~ and it's wonderful!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

who calls a haka "repressed gayness" like really? Dont disrespect my culture and our traditional ways. And i mean no disrespect to the gay community. The haka is used as a challenge against others or competition. We use it to make ourselves more known or even get the adrenalin pumping, to show we do mean harm,we aint going to back down from a challenge or a fight. It can mean alot of things.Dont disrespect it because you dont understand it or because you dont like it by saying"repressed gayness"
