I was watching when Arris said we have something absolutely next level insane that just arrived, I was like yeah yeah ok Arris surrrre you do. Then when the pulled out the comic book I audibly said to myself , "Oh shit" that's batman number 1 with a CGC 8.0 grade my eyes actually got wider. So touché Arris you got me on that one!

It's not a good idea. Say you own .05% of batman #1. You'll never be able to hold it or bring it home. I mean maybe if the price of the book jumps significantly then you'd make some money, but there's better investment opportunities out there.

Exactly. I was racking my brain into thinking how beneficial that is? I mean with stocks, theres the volatility and utilization that justifies the value. But a comic book? Its not even clear who owns it in its entirety. Who invested the most? Rally? Whoever placed it on Rally? And what happens when the actual thing gets damaged? Or is sold/taken off rally?

I paused right after the ad read to see if anyone else felt the same in the comments. And yeah it really does look seem like that type of situation. Sheesh I know the channel needs to make money but have some integrity. Very disappointing.

We wouldn’t recommend it if I didn’t check it out, understand what it was, and think it was something of value to bring to the Variant audience. The way the Batman #1 shares work is much closer to owning shares/stock in a company than an NFT. It’s fractionalized ownership of a tangible (not digital) asset. It’s actually a really cool way to purchase partial ownership stakes in rare and valuable assets that very few people can buy outright. - Tim C.

Hold on, there’s a plot hole here. Around 6 minutes in, Wonder Woman states to the Atlantian, “Come closer, I can’t hear you.” However, this appears to be false. The problem then being that she has the lasso of truth wrapped around her. This then means that she could only tell the truth. Now, unless she can choose when she goes deaf, I feel that this is inconsistent.

@@user-uc6xi8sv5u Bruh, you can't harm a company with your lifesavings unless you're already pretty rich. And the money you get is not that impressive if you invest small amounts. The NFT works exactly like a stock, if the comic goes up in value, your NFT goes up in value. If it somehow gets destroyed, you lose your money. When you invest in a company, and the company does well, the value of the stock goes up. And if the company goes bankrupt, you lose your money. If you wanna say that companies don't just go bankrupt, you'd be surprised. On the other hand, antique art pieces are more likely to retain value over time.

If you think it's unlikely to grow in value, simply don't buy it. DYOR and don't cry when you lose. Also, don't call things scams when they aren't really one.

I fell in love with Flashpoint Paradox as soon as I saw Thomas Whayne as Batman. The consequences and personalities are so dark I love it. To see Aquaman getting killed by Wonder Woman again is just dirty at this point.

When I was young, the few comics I owned were well read and fiercely guarded from anyone else touching them at all, much less owning a part of them. Looking at this setup you're offering, the same feelings are being sparked in me; why would I want co-ownership of something like a comic book? I'm ok with not being able to afford it myself, and just knowing a piece of history exists like that. To me, the fact that in no way, shape or form will that comic *ever* be read or enjoyed again is a sadness. So though you perhaps think it's a good idea, I'm going to have to pass. Also? If you wanted people to not think of NFts when you offered this concept to them, *MAAAAYBE* don't have a picture of that damned ape that literally represents NFTs in the production.

While I get that books are meant to be enjoyed it’s a near century old piece of comic history that, like all antiques, should be preserved. What I guess is it’s an investment. You buy a share, it sells, you get your percentage.

For this rally thing is it like stock? Can u sell the stakes if they increase in value ? If that’s the case it could be a cool investment but if not I agree with other people why pay money to not own something if I don’t actually have the comic in my possession then why would I even pay a penny but if the stakes gain value and can be sold back that’s a different story
