They actually did one lap in the circuit, and another in the oval. They stopped using them when they got too dangerous

@Graustreif Elvanien the ones from early 2000 or from the 90's were probably faster on a straight line but today the handling is so much better that I think they would eat dust on an actual circuit, I'm sure there are some time comparazione videos on KZfaq but I couldn't find any. Also I'm not a giant f1 fan so I could be totally wrong, I'm just a Motorsports fan in general
