I own one of these. A 98 1.8t. Cv's were rooted as well, so that's a comon issue. Drives pretty well once I made a major service.

Oh dear - that car has been owned by a race boy. Dodgy rims & brakes, lowered suspension, noisy exhaust and trashed drive train!!!

lol, I think you showed me that flat tire clip when I was there over a year ago :p, time to clean out the HDD :D that Audi needed to be taken out and shot :p

Aussie50 lol yep. thats why i put it up so i could delete it.
@Aussie509 жыл бұрын
V8Jagnut yeh I have terabytes of stuff in storage, half of it would not really hurt to get rid of, just the really important info and funny vids can stay,
@Nighthawke709 жыл бұрын
Aussie50 Go buy a nice 2 drive NAS to put your stuff on Ed. They are pricey, yah, but one drive blows in a RAID, you replace the busted drive with a similar model in size and specs, no problem. If the NAS blows its mind, replace the NAS with the same model by RMA or purchase. Source: just replaced my 12TB NAS when it got fried by lightning. All data is intact!

That handbrake thing is so when drifters rely on their handbrake they can pull it up without having their finger on the button to stop the ratchet, although it's mostly just rice

I helped service a car once that made a cracking noise like that on full lock? What was it? The owner had only put wider alloys on it which contacted the steering rod on full lock.

Lol that Audi has had the fcuk thrashed out of it!

Betting the CV joints and engine/transmission mounts are fucked from the crap stancenation suspension job. Looked like the ride quality was roughly equivalent to a tractor.
@tech4pros19 жыл бұрын
FrankTheCat i saw some horrid "stanced" car at the side of the road, after the driver was chatting to his mates and failed to notice the speed bump. he busted his radiator :D my old citroen XM can do the stance thing too when its parked. hydrolastic suspension. :D

Non-working A/C with low / no charge is a very common problem on these older Audis. Seen so many of them with the same problem

what's the bet there is no ABS tone ring on those aftermarket discs?...
@digitalrailroader9 жыл бұрын
***** usually, the ABS tone wheel is a part of the Driveshaft Stub Axles. but Brad is correct in saying that Audi is Trashed. it would be extremely expensive to repair it, so the best course of action would be to part it out.

Wonder what that button for the red light does? :-P
@ocd22229 жыл бұрын
Charlie M Probably to trick car thieves that the car has an alarm
@Nivicoman9 жыл бұрын
ABS problem probably from the tone ring wobbling around with the fucked stub axles.

Is it true that if you let a deflated white wall for too long it's ruined??
@Aussie509 жыл бұрын
aserta you can damage any tire by leaving it flat for too long, short term will not kill it tho, just get it round again ASAP :D
@aserta9 жыл бұрын
Aussie50 No, i know that, just that i heard that if you left white walls (specifically) sitting for even something like two weeks it would end up ruined beyond use. I've never actually owned a white wall and i was curious.
@Aussie509 жыл бұрын
aserta it might be to do with the white outer layer on the sidewall, it might be harder than normal rubber and crack. not sure.

That car looks riced, but it can't be riced since it's a German car, not Japanese. I know, it's sauerkrauted! Or as you guys call it down there a "Hoon" car or "Boy Racer" car.
